This is a story about an international couple raising and home educating three young boys on a small island in Japan, half living in buses, engaged in organic, self-sufficient farming in the middle of a mountain forest while dealing with climate, cultural, and personal challenges. These pages are about pretty much anything and everything all guided by our family motto, Taking Chances, Making Changes, Being Happy. Thank you very much for joining us on our ongoing crazy adventure.

- Facebook Post - Finished preparing and making the foundation for the garden post to hold the cucumber vines this Summer. Gardening in Japan is very cool. Plenty of rain and humidity. Stuff grows like crazy. Decided to take out the problem persimmon tree in the next yard. Actually used the car to pull it out. Took a few hours but finished before the rain today. Read your post about Hiromi Uehara. Thought you might like another favorite, Keiko Matsui. Would like to know your thoughts.
