This is a story about an international couple raising and home educating three young boys on a small island in Japan, half living in buses, engaged in organic, self-sufficient farming in the middle of a mountain forest while dealing with climate, cultural, and personal challenges. These pages are about pretty much anything and everything all guided by our family motto, Taking Chances, Making Changes, Being Happy. Thank you very much for joining us on our ongoing crazy adventure.

- English Global Group Closed. After running our English Global Group school for over a year, we finally made a decision to close the school beginning this month. A lot went into this decision including, too few students, unfinished work on the adjacent house, neglecting Internet projects and a bit of controversy over some miscommunications with a good friend and assistant. Actually we decided to at least think about opening English Global Group again as a coffee shop and English conversation school but not sure at this time.

- Facebook Post - Cool Season Garden. Found some time away from remodeling the adjacent house to work on the garden and put in new crops for the upcoming cooler months. This includes daikon (Japanese white radish), turnips, carrots, Chinese cabbage, onions, and broccoli not to mention a bunch of things growing in pots. More pics coming in a few weeks. A Studio is Born. Um….well….at least not for another couple weeks. We decided to use the adjacent house we purchased exclusively for making videos for our Internet sites. Each of the six rooms will be a different studio and theme. Kitchen will be used to make cooking videos for BeeMee TV which will be featured on our BeeMee.net site. Stay tuned for updates.
Adjacent house new flooring and beginning of studio in kitchen. Adjacent house kitchen before remodeling. Harvesting Rice
Spent a couple hours harvesting rice a few weeks ago with friends in the farm their family owns. Then we all ate lunch and dinner together and partied for hours. Pretty cool experience.

- Facebook Post - Thanksgiving Dinner Was Fantastic. Now we are all full from the incredible Thanksgiving dinner Akiko made. She really did good considering many of the ingredients in Japan are much different. Getting ready to watch football and eat dessert. Happy Thanksgiving From Japan. We are spending a very nice couple days at home. Akiko was home from work on Wednesday for a national holiday and was able to begin preparing Thanksgiving dinner. She stayed home from work today to finish cooking and to celebrate Thanksgiving. We ordered a turkey online this year. Really looking forward to eating her wonderful cooking later today.
