This is a story about an
international couple raising and home educating three
young boys on a small island in Japan, half living in
buses, engaged in organic, self-sufficient farming in
the middle of a mountain forest while dealing with
climate, cultural, and personal challenges. These pages
are about pretty much anything and everything all guided
by our family motto, Taking Chances, Making Changes,

ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL DAY.
Was another really beautiful day in San Diego, California with 70 degree
temperatures. Continued resolutions with an eight mile walk and run at the park.
Made a really good picnic lunch. Tomorrow going back to the park again.

ANOTHER EIGHT MILES TODAY.
Went to the park again today and walked and ran another eight miles. Simple
solution for those of you who really want to lose weight and be in good
condition.
Eat healthy.
Eat less.
Work out.
No real mystery and the ONLY WAY to really lose weight and keep it off. Yup not
easy to motivate yourself to do all three things but you need to do this.

HEY TRY NOT TO BE TOO JEALOUS.
Spent hours today on my hands and knees scrubbing the carpet in front of the
entry. Then went on to wash the entry floor, kitchen floor, and the patio. Yup
three years away from home with a total of five single guys in this place. Yuk.
Place is almost acceptable now. Probably be perfect about the time to return to
Japan. lol. More projects tomorrow. Getting ready for family visiting next week.
Gonna be really fun.

HOME IS BACK TO NORMAL AGAIN.
Tonight can really relax in this place. Gave tons of stuff to the charity today
from three years of renters. Washed pretty much everything washable the last few
days. Next week inlaws coming in from Japan. Gonna be heading up to Las Vegas
along with a week of sightseeing, dinner parties, and other craziness. Another
month and a half and back to Japan again.

the last time for Jim and Linda to see Grandma and Jiji
before they head back to Japan tomorrow. A special thanks to
Jim and Linda for being so nice to them and for allowing us
to visit their wonderful home.

January 27, 2013 - Yup after a
really fun week visiting America it is time for Granma and
Jiji to return to Japan. Hey see you again in a little over
a month.

Paris buffet best in Las Vegas. Fantastic food and really nice atmosphere. Wine
drinkers should definitely get the all you can drink house cabernet which was
delicious. |
