This is a story about an international couple raising and home educating three young boys on a small island in Japan, half living in buses, engaged in organic, self-sufficient farming in the middle of a mountain forest while dealing with climate, cultural, and personal challenges. These pages are about pretty much anything and everything all guided by our family motto, Taking Chances, Making Changes, Being Happy. Thank you very much for joining us on our ongoing crazy adventure.

- Facebook Post - Hey a cup of wine and lunch on the new patio this afternoon.

- Facebook Post - Made a multipurpose board for the little dude. Good way to use extra wood from house projects. Now using this for games and the other side is a ladder for yard work. Actually got flowers this year on the female kiwi vines. Problem is no flowers on the male vines. This means no pollination and another year of waiting.

- Facebook Post - Yup we spent a really nice mommy day last weekend doing a BBQ outside with candlelight and flowers and wine.

- Facebook Post - AN OASIS IN A SMALL FARMING COMMUNITY IN JAPAN. Really is a truism that you need to make your own happiness. This is our little bit of happiness in the middle of a small Japanese town and rice farms. TEACHING SCIENCE. Really good to begin teaching science to kids at an early age. Made a rain gauge for the little dude this week. Recently teaching a lot about meteorology. FRISBEE GOLF IN JAPAN. What should you do with an old bike basket, a bunch of extra wood, and some screws? Why not make a frisbee golf thingy? Need to get a few chains to replace the rope and then should work. READY TO SEE JAPAN ON BIKE. Bought a cool bike seat for the little dude this month.
