This is a story about an international couple raising and home educating three young boys on a small island in Japan, half living in buses, engaged in organic, self-sufficient farming in the middle of a mountain forest while dealing with climate, cultural, and personal challenges. These pages are about pretty much anything and everything all guided by our family motto, Taking Chances, Making Changes, Being Happy. Thank you very much for joining us on our ongoing crazy adventure.

- Facebook Post - THANK YOU VERY MUCH. Close to our home is a small local farming community. All of the roads are nicely paved and a really good place to go running. A few years ago I met an old woman doing some farming. I went over and worked the soil and pulled weeds a few times in her farm. Today I went out with Shai and we met her again after many months. She really likes him and she gave us all the vegetables in the picture. Thank you very much again.

- Facebook Post - AMERICAN STYLE SHOPPING. Yup we get plenty of looks every time we go shopping. Many Japanese housewives go shopping for food almost every day. Although both of us work from home we prefer to go shopping once a week. This means loading up. Where most Japanese shoppers use one basket we usually fill up four and get a lot of attention from other shoppers. Funny.
