This is a story about an international couple raising and home educating three young boys on a small island in Japan, half living in buses, engaged in organic, self-sufficient farming in the middle of a mountain forest while dealing with climate, cultural, and personal challenges. These pages are about pretty much anything and everything all guided by our family motto, Taking Chances, Making Changes, Being Happy. Trump Elected

I am writing this page with a great sense of pleasure. When Donald Trump was first running for president it seemed all hope might be gone for American Jews, and around the world, for that matter. Let's face it, Trump has garnered more support from white supremacy, neo-nazi, alt-right, and basically hate groups in general, than any other candidate in recent history. Then the worst outcome for Jews became reality, Trump was elected president of the United States of America, a position he would hold for the next four years. What to do?

Instead of rolling over, like many of my friends, and simply accepting the situation, I decided to be pro-active, and engage in some in depth research. What I found was, both amazing and comforting, and made the future for U.S. Jews look a little better....well much better actually.

Time to look at the facts.
Ivanka and Jared

Ivanka Marie Trump, (born October 30, 1981) is an American businesswoman and former fashion model. She is the daughter of real estate developer and President-elect of the United States, Donald Trump and former model Ivana Trump. Trump was raised Presbyterian.

Ivanka married Jared Corey Kushner (born January 10, 1981) in a Jewish ceremony on October 25, 2009. Jared  is an American businessman, investor and political operative. Kushner is the son of American real estate developer Charles Kushner. They have three children together.

Before her wedding, in July 2009, after studying for over a year with Rabbi Elie Weinstock from the Modern Orthodox Ramaz School, Ivanka converted to Orthodox Judaism and took the Hebrew name "Yael". She describes her conversion as an “amazing and beautiful journey” and that her father supported her studies from day one, due to his respect for the Jewish religion. She attests to keeping a kosher diet and observing the Jewish Sabbath, saying in 2015: "We're pretty observant... It's been such a great life decision for me... I really find that with Judaism, it creates an amazing blueprint for family connectivity. From Friday to Saturday we don't do anything but hang out with one another. We don't make phone calls." Ivanka Trump sends her daughter to kindergarten at a Jewish school in New York City. She says that “It’s such a blessing for me to have her come home every night and share with me the Hebrew that she’s learned and sing songs for me around the holidays." She visited the Ohel (grave of the Lubavitch Rebbe), a popular pilgrimage site, shortly before her father's election.
Donald and Venessa

Donald John "Don" Trump Jr. (born December 31, 1977) is an American businessman. He is the eldest child of real estate developer and President-elect of the United States, Donald Trump, and his first wife, Czech model Ivana Trump. He currently works along with his sister Ivanka and brother Eric in the position of Executive Vice President at The Trump Organization.

Trump married model Vanessa Kay Haydon (born December 18, 1977) on November 12, 2005, at the Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida; the service was officiated by Trump's aunt, Judge Maryanne Trump Barry. Haydon is the daughter of Bonnie and Charles Haydon, and is of Jewish and Danish descent. They have five children: daughters Kai Madison (born May 12, 2007) and Chloe Sophia (born June 16, 2014) and sons Donald John III (born February 18, 2009), Tristan Milos (born October 2, 2011), and Spencer Frederick (born October 21, 2012).
Eric and Lara

Eric Frederick Trump (born January 6, 1984) is an American businessman. He is the third child and second son of the President-elect of the United States, Donald Trump, and Ivana Trump.

On July 4, 2013, Trump became engaged to longtime girlfriend Lara Lea Yunaska (born October 12, 1982), an associate producer at the syndicated television news program Inside Edition. Trump and Yunaska were married on November 8, 2014 at Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach, Florida. Their wedding ceremony was under a "crystal-embellished chuppa", with 450 people in attendance.

Pretty Amazing

Considering Donald Trump and his family are so Jewish, it is amazing that he continues to receive support from so many awful groups. Numerous white supremacy, neo-nazi, alt-right, and extreme Christian groups continue to support Trump even in light of the current make up of his family. Hopefully the most incredible thing will happen, and these groups will turn around. They will see what Jews and Judaism is all about and change. I know this is naive and wishful thinking but once you give up hoping, there is nothing more.
