This is a story about an
international couple raising and home educating three
young boys on a small island in Japan, half living in
buses, engaged in organic, self-sufficient farming in
the middle of a mountain forest while dealing with
climate, cultural, and personal challenges. These pages
are about pretty much anything and everything all guided
by our family motto, Taking Chances, Making Changes,
Being Happy. Thank you very much for joining us on our
ongoing crazy adventure.

DUMP
TRUMP
Friends. This is not a time to be apathetic. Next month on
December 19th, the electoral college will meet to
potentially finalize the nomination of Donald Trump for
president. If enough of the electoral participants change
their votes, then the decision to make Trump president would
go to the House of Representatives, which is unfortunately,
Republican controlled. A long shot to be sure, but at least
it would put the electoral college system in question, a
system that needs to be abolished in favor of the popular
vote. IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO SEE
THIS MAN BECOME PRESIDENT, then please….POST
A COMMENT ON THIS PAGE at the bottom….and then send
this link to your friends to post as well. If enough
comments are posted, the link will be sent to those in a
position to affect the electoral vote.
PLEASE DO THIS BEFORE IT IS TOO
LATE. Thanks. |

Electoral College
The United States Electoral College is a mechanism
established by Article Two of the United States Constitution
in the indirect United States presidential election system
to select the President of the United States and Vice
President of the United States. Citizens of the United
States vote in each state at a general election to choose a
slate of "electors" pledged to vote for a party's candidate.
The Twelfth Amendment requires each elector to cast one vote
for president and another vote for vice president. In each
state and the District of Columbia, electors are chosen
every four years on the Tuesday after the first Monday in
November, and then meet to cast ballots on the first Monday
after the second Wednesday in December. The candidates who
receive an absolute majority of electoral votes among the
states are elected President and Vice President of the
United States when the Electoral College vote is certified
by Congress in January. |

Faithless Elector
In United States presidential elections, a faithless elector
is a member of the United States Electoral College who does
not vote for the presidential or vice-presidential candidate
for whom they had pledged to vote. That is, they lack faith
in the pledge and vote for another candidate, or fail to
vote, or choose not to vote. A pledged elector can become a
faithless elector only by breaking their pledge; unpledged
electors have no pledge to break. |
