This is a story about an
international couple raising and home educating three
young boys in Japan, while dealing with
climate, cultural, and personal challenges. These pages
are about pretty much anything and everything all guided
by our family motto, Taking Chances, Making Changes,
Being Happy. Thank you very much for joining us on our
ongoing adventure.

Music
I guess you could say we are a pretty musical family. We turn on
music in the morning and listen to it throughout the
day, everyday, until nighttime.
From Jpop to Kpop to Bollywood to Classical to Jazz to good ole Rock and
Roll, we pretty much listen to it all.
I tend to go on music binges from time to time such as
it was with Bollywood, Lounge, and a few other genre
which have yet to find their way to these pages. Drives
my wife absolutely crazy listening to the same type of
music for weeks at a time, but she is always a good
sport about it....um except for Techno and Psytrance
which she insists makes her nauseous. The upside of all
this is exposing our kids to different music from
different cultures. Keeping these young minds open and
accepting to many things is our goal as parents who are
raising their kids outside the norms of society. In
addition, a lot of the music being produced today is
trash. The music that I grew up with, from the 60's,
70's, 80's, and 90's, was in my opinion, the best music
ever made. I wanted to make sure our kids can know and
access this great time in musical history. And hopefully
they will give their kids the opportunity to enjoy this
music as well.
I began making this music section many years ago, circa
2012, while still residing in the hot and humid
countryside of Nara, Japan, and long before I got
involved in the time consuming "hobby" of
farming....another story. Needless to say, these pages
kinda "went by the wayside" in favor of spending my days
growing food for my family. This being the case, many
genre are not listed, obviously, and there is a great
disservice to many of the performers who have only a few
songs listed. This is especially true in the Rock and
Roll section with bands like The Beatles only showing
links to a handful of songs....again, blame farming for
this. Hopefully I can get back to these pages eventually
and make them much more complete. For now, please enjoy
the music already listed.
