This is a story about an international couple raising and home educating three young boys in Japan, while dealing with climate, cultural, and personal challenges. These pages are about pretty much anything and everything all guided by our family motto, Taking Chances, Making Changes, Being Happy. Thank you very much for joining us on our ongoing adventure.

STORY 2024
Happy New Year

Hey Friends,

Happy New Year. I want to wish all of you a Happy and Healthy New Year for 2025 and beyond. Hopefully 2025 will be a much better year in which we will see peace and the end to the terrible wars currently in progress.

The last week of 2024, we went to a party and ended up with a terrible case of influenza. This went all the way through Hanukkah and New Years with all of us running a high fever, chills, body aches, and almost constant coughing. Now we are getting better but still weak from days of feeling awful.

Anyway, a lot of changes coming in the next few months. We purchased a home, which is now in the equivalent of Japanese escrow, and plan to move there sometime in March 2025. The house is located in Setouchi City, Okayama Prefecture. The property has a pretty good amount of land and is a two story building with a two story garage and a storage shed. The property was really cheap but requires some work.

In addition, I made the choice to basically stay away from social media, including Facebook, except for messaging friends. If you are interested in our ongoing adventures, all posts will be made to this blog with only occasional posts begin made on Facebook. Please check these pages whenever you are interested in knowing updates to our situation. Thanks.

Remember to give thanks for what you have and to accept others regardless of their differences. Thank you again.
