December 2, 2008 - Email Message - Jim. Hi. I think we might be interested in the car depending on the price. We are running into a lot of dental expenses the last few weeks. Send information about the car and the price when you can. These are the vacation pictures.

December 2, 2008 - Email Message - Ayumi. Hi. I am finally returning to normal after the four day trip. Actually I meant to say the house was a mess from all the vacation stuff. Traditionally I come home from vacation and dump everything on the floor and then mess with it the next day. In this case it meant four loads of laundry and cleaning out the coolers and other stuff. Anyway the trip was incredible. This is pretty much the recap. Wednesday night. I picked Akiko up from work on Wednesday night. We ate dinner, packed up the truck and were on the road about 9:30 pm. It was a nice drive with only a bit of light rain as we approached Las Vegas. Thursday, Thanksgiving Day. We arrived around 3:00 am and immediately went to our favorite gambling place, Slots of Fun. This is one of the few places on the strip still offering two dollar blackjack tables. We gambled and drank for a few hours and then went to Circus Circus. This is the only time we went to Las Vegas with no room reservations and Circus Circus was the only hotel with reasonable prices rooms. They ended up putting us in the manor though which are like little motels in the back of the main hotel. Normally this would be fine since we are usually up most of the time and use the room only for sleeping, taking a shower, and um other stuff. Anyway, there were tons of kids in Las Vegas because of some little league football convention and the kids were playing in the hallway. I went and complained to the management and they ended up giving us a spa suite and reversed the room charge. Pretty cool. We went to the Rio hotel and enjoyed their Thanksgiving Day champagne brunch. We ate and talked for three hours believe it or not. They had all the traditional stuff and it was relly delicious. It began to rain like crazy on the way back to the gambling place and washed out much of the roads. It was pretty cool though. Good thing for four wheel drive. We spent the evening gambling and drinking again and then went back to the room, enjoyed the Jacuzzi, and then went to sleep. Friday. We woke up and went back to the Rio hotel and ate their breakfast buffet. Then we drove to the Grand Canyon. We ran into a lot of traffic at Hoover Dam which through us off a couple hours. We ended up getting the campsite in the early evening. We were able to get one of two remaining spots and spent the night in the truck. Saturday. We woke up early and went to the best spot in the Grand Canyon to watch the sunrise. It was incredibly beautiful. We then spent the day visiting almost every view spot on the South Rim. We made it from one end of the South Rim to the other and then watched the sunset at the best view point. We drove back to Las Vegas in the early evening and slept for a few hours in the truck. Sunday. We ate breakfast at the Paris buffet. Incredibly good buffet and excellent quality food. We then placed ten separate bets on the Sunday games. We lost money on the Buffalo and San Diego games. We were already ahead on our gambling but because of the football bets, we ended up losing 24 dollars total on the trip. We spent the entire afternoon watching football at the Paris hotel. We walked outside on the strip for awhile at night. It was really warm, almost like an early Summer night. We saw the fountain show a couple times in front of the Bellagio hotel. Then we went back to the Paris hotel and hung our for awhile. We returned home at about 5:00 am Monday, in time to take a shower, go out for breakfast and then take Akiko to work. She was able to sleep all the way back. I drove over 1400 miles in four days and it took until today to get back to normal. Anyway, the pictures are now uploaded to this address.

December 3, 2008 - Email Message - Jim. Hi. I need some shirts and stuff made up. Not sure if you would be interested in my proposal but thought I should give you the opportunity. No worries if you are not interested. I am planning to make tons of videos beginning next month. I need shirts and maybe some other stuff made up with the English site information printed on them. I plan to exchange advertising for the cost of the items as many companies like the barter system anytime. If you want to do this, let me know. If not, then again, no worries. Send email when you can. Howie.

December 3, 2008 - Email Message - Jim. Hi. I can meet you at the Einstein bagel store in the morning, 8 or 9 is good. Send email. See you then. Howie.

December 3, 2008 - Email Message - Bjorn. Hi. I was really thinking about the conversation the other day. Really wondering about these low oil prices. Maybe do a dinner soon if you can find the time. Send email when you can. Howie.

December 3, 2008 - Email Message - Mina. Hi. A week from Saturday, on the 13th, we are making kind of a tanjoubi party for a girl Akiko works with. It would be nice if you can make it. You do not need to bring a gift, but only something for the pot luck like the last time. We are also inviting another Japanese girl. We plan to play blackjack too. No money though, only plastic chips. Should be fun talking nihongo the whole night. Hopefully you can make it. Send email when you can. Howie.

December 4, 2008 - Email Message - Hi. I was waiting for afternoon email now. See you tonight. I love you. (to work) Howie.

December 5, 2008 - Email Message - Jim. Hi. I want to know the time you can meet tomorrow. 8 or 9 is good for us. Send email when you can. Howie.

December 5, 2008 - Email Message - Hi. Looking forward to Nabe with you tonight. I love you. (from work) Akiko.

December 5, 2008 - Email Message - Hi. Yup, wanna do Nabe with you tonight. I love you. (to work) Howie.

December 8, 2008 - Email Message - Hi. I called the dental place. They want to charge a $25 cancellation fee for each appointment. It is $50. I am waiting for a call from my friend to make sure the cleaning is not a problem. If it is no problem then I want to keep the appointment tonight. You will need to tell your manager and maybe you can make up the hours another time. Send email when you can. (to work) Howie.

December 8, 2008 - Email Message - How can they charge cancellation fee?? I don’t like this dental.. anyway I think I just gonna take sick time for today’s appointment. Ok desu. let me know after your friend call. (from work) Akiko.

December 8, 2008 - Email Message - Hi. I called again and decided to keep the cleaning for you tonight. They are also going to repair the problem with the teeth they already worked on. All the cavities except one for me are on the same side. They will do all of them tonight. I cancelled the appointment for tomorrow. Go ahead and take two hours sick time for the appointment tonight. Then we are done with this place for this year. Send email to confirm this and then the afternoon email. Will come at 3:30 today. Talk again. (to work) Howie.

December 8, 2008 - Email Message - Hi. I am nemutai. See you this afternoon. I love you. (from work) Akiko.

December 8, 2008 - Email Message - Hi. I want you to sleep a lot. See you this afternoon. I love you. (to work) Howie.

December 8, 2008 - Email Message - I talked to Xelia and she said that her parents were offering me a place to stay and so is she. So I'm staying in one of the extra rooms and everything seems okay now. We're not together, but I at least have a place to stay that's close to school and work. I really appreciate you offering me a place to stay. I'm still off on Thursdays for bagel breakfast and I'll be out of school soon! I love you and congrats on the baby! I'm really excited about it. :). Valerie.

December 8, 2008 - Email Message - Valerie. Hi. I was not happy you were not home when we returned last night. Akiko and I wanted to tell you the news in person and pretty sure you said you were definitely staying overnight. Akiko prepared dinner for you. The roommate set up a computer for you for nothing. As soon as your friends call then you go running to them. Suppose these friends are your real family in your mind. Was not happy about all of this but was happy you were able to return to your ex gf house. The situation will not be easy for you. Actually I stayed in the same house many times after splitting up and it can be extremely difficult. If you are happy then do what you think is good. Anyway, can meet for bagel this week but might not be able to hang out after. This is a busy week. Send email when you can. Dad.

December 8, 2008 - Email Message - Bjorn. Hi. I apologize for not getting back to you sooner. Many things came up this week. Will talk about it next time we see you at the bagel shop. We can also talk about getting together for dinner. Talk to you again. Howie.

December 8, 2008 - Email Message - Nansai. Hi. I really cannot believe the timing. Akiko and I were in Las Vegas on Thursday, the Grand Canyon from Friday night until almost Sunday, and then back in Las Vegas until Sunday night. These are the pics.
http://picasaweb.google.com/FunEasyEnglish.com
Really want to meet you before you head back to Japan. Lots to talk about. Try to make it to SD again. You can stay with us as long as you want. Send email when you can. Howie.

December 8, 2008 - Email Message - Marilyn. Hi. I was really happy to tell you the news about me and Akiko. I knew you would be really excited. We went to the dentist today and the girls in the office were totally going crazy over the news. Anyway, I think the neighbors are still moving out but no contact recently. Talk to you again. Howie.

December 8, 2008 - Email Message - Mina. Hi. Akiko and I went to the bank and they said you were on vacation. It was not the same without you there. Anyway, I am really happy you can come to the party. Nothing crazy. Good food, nice conversation, and gambling with plastic chips. Akiko is sleeping now but I will talk with her and send email what to bring. Please do not bring a gift. Food only is perfect. Will probably send email tomorrow night. These are pictures from our trip.

Enjoy your evening and send email when you can. Howie.

December 9, 2008 - Email Message - Hi. Looking forward to see you. I love you. (from work) Akiko.

December 9, 2008 - Email Message - Hi. Looking forward to seeing you. I love you. (to work) Howie.

December 10, 2008 - Email Message - Hi. See you tonight. I love you. (from work) Akiko.

December 10, 2008 - Email Message - Hi. See you tonight. I love you. (to work) Howie.

December 10, 2008 - Email Message - Jim. Hi. I want to get a couple of additional shirts made up. These would also be white but they need to be really sexy for women. Kind of like a camisole shirt which shows a little, um you know. Akiko and I went back and forth on this topic but unfortunately putting youth and sexy on the site really increases the number of visitors. Kind of a commentary on our society but true. The videos with tons of views features Akiko with a pretty sexy shirt. These other shirts will be used in the conversation sketches. Send email with samples when you can. Thanks. Howie.

December 10, 2008 - Email Message - Joel. Hi. I wanted to send a quick email to make sure we can get the lines of communication set up. It would be nice to talk longer anytime but I know you need to work and I need to take Akiko to her job. Maybe one of these days we can do a hike in Mission Trails. Please send the Sierra Club information when you can. Let me know if there is another email account you would like me to use. Talk to you again. Howie.

December 10, 2008 - Email Message - Bjorn. Hi. I checked and, no kidding, quite a storm coming but seems like not until the beginning of next week. Wanted to talk today but needed to take Akiko to work as usual. Send email when you can. Howie.

December 11, 2008 - Email Message - Hi. Pretty lousy but happy. See you tonight. I love you. (from work) Akiko.

December 11, 2008 - Email Message - Hi. How is your feeling? See you tonight. I love you. (to work) Howie.

December 11, 2008 - Email Message - Jim. Hi. I am going to work with Akiko tonight to make a better quality banner. If not, then maybe plain lettering with the site name would be better. I know people are going to ask where all these materials were made. I want to be able to say your company as this would be excellent promotion for you. This is the whole idea behind this mutual benefit trade of services. Anyway, it will work out eventually. Added the 367 new pages to the English site for the new lessons. All the pages are templates at this point but this was a good project to finish. You can click the classroom link from the home page of the English site and click any date on the class schedule. Talk to you again. Howie.

December 12, 2008 - Email Message - Mina. Hi. I wanted to let you know to come at 5:00 pm tomorrow. Um, our heating is not working so bring warm clothes like a sweatshirt. We are going to be eating nabe so you should be warm anyway. See you then. Howie.

December 13, 2008 - Email Message - Jim. Hi. I am sending a couple of banners Akiko made. If you download them, you can get the actual file in the original quality. She used paint and then kept the banner in different formats using another program. If neither of these work, she can use another program which uses the following file extensions.

December 13, 2008 - Email Message - Ayumi. Hi. Yup, I am moving to Japan with Akiko. Send email when you can. Howie.

December 13, 2008 - Email Message - Bjorn. Hi. I want to thank you for the offer to come up this weekend. As it turns out, Akiko and I need to stay in for the weekend as we both caught a cold. Actually she took last Friday off because she was not feeling well. Want to talk to you about a lot of stuff including possibly making an English language school abroad. Hopefully we can all meet at the bagel shop next week. Still planning to take you up on the trip to your place. Send email when you can. Howie.

December 15, 2008 - Email Message - Hi. I think you are enjoying this rain. See you tonight. I love you. (from work) Akiko.

December 15, 2008 - Email Message - Hi. I am enjoying now. See you tonight. I love you. (to work) Howie.

December 16, 2008 - Email Message - Jim. Hi. I was wondering if you want us to come over to pick up the stuff. You could also put it in the entry of our place if it is easier. Send email when you can. Howie.

December 17, 2008 - Email Message - Hi. I am thinking about you as usual. You know I want you to send the afternoon email. Even though we say the same thing, is still shows we are thinking about each other. It is raining like crazy and I am extremely motivated for work again. It would be nice if you were home with me now and we could enjoy this day in the house together. Cannot wait to see you tonight. Send email now and in the afternoon. I love you. (to work) Howie.

December 17, 2008 - Email Message - Hi. I won a small prize today. And I will bring home some food from potluck. See you tonight. I love you. (from work) Akiko.

December 17, 2008 - Email Message - Hi. Yippee, maybe a new car. Yummy food. See you tonight. I love you. (to work) Howie.

December 17, 2008 - Email Message - Jim. Hi. I uploaded 44 new videos and need to stay in and get these done and find and problems before visitors checking the site. Need to stay close to the computer during this process. Can come over any night this week around 6 pm. Will only stay for a few minutes. Going to be making many changes to the SD site for the New Year and will be adding your banner to many pages. The end of the year is difficult because new to change the copyright year on all the sites. This means changing close to five thousand pages. Pretty automated but still takes time. Anyway, let me know which night we can come over or you can leave the stuff on you entry. Either way, send email when you can. Howie.

December 17, 2008 - Email Message - Weekend would be better during the day. we will be home cleaning up from the storm. Just pick a time ...we will gone in the evenings. Jim. We will be having a party New Years Eve FYI.

December 17, 2008 - Email Message - Jim. Hey, sounds good. Will talk to the wife tonight. Probably Saturday after breakfast at the bagel store can go over to your place. You are welcome to join us for breakfast of course. Will send email tonight. Talk to you again.

December 17, 2008 - Email Message - Hi. As it turns out my wife Akiko is attending a holiday work party today and I need to attend a business meeting on Thursday. We talked it over and decided, all things considered, to stay with the current door handle. We are planning to move abroad and want to keep a handle that will be low maintenance. Please send email to confirm. Thank you again.

December 17, 2008 - Email Message - Bjorn. Hi. I was wondering if you think the snow will be around this weekend. I would really like to come up Saturday afternoon and take you up on the offer to spend the night and come back on Sunday. Gonna need to talk to the wife tonight though. Let me know if you guys eat Japanese style curry with rice. Perfect food for these kinds of temperatures. Send email when you can. Howie.

December 17, 2008 - Email Message - Bjorn. Hi. I think we can make it Saturday afternoon and possibly until Sunday depending on Akiko. Now she is kind of getting the morning sickness thing and really tired. Let me know if you plan to be at the bagel shop this week. Please send your address and then I can look it up on the map. We do not own a cell phone. This is our home number, 619-697-1698. The phone is usually off but the answering machine is on though. All my friends send email and pretty much we only get calls from telemarketers and do not use the phone except for outgoing calls. Anyway, send email with your address when you can. We can work out the details at the bagel shop or online. Talk to you again. Howie.

December 18, 2008 - Email Message - Hi. looking for spending time with you tonight. See you tonight. I love you. (from work) Akiko.

December 18, 2008 - Email Message - Hi. Yup tons of stuff to talk about with you. See you tonight. I love you. (to work) Howie.

December 18, 2008 - Email Message - Jim. Hi. I am going out to the bagel shop on Saturday with Akiko. Join us if you can. Either way will come to your place between 9 am and 10 am. Send email when you can. Howie.

December 18, 2008 - Email Message - Jim. Hi. I am going to be at your house about 9 am. Cannot stay long since Akiko and I will be heading up north for the weekend. Anyway see you then. Howie.

December 18, 2008 - Email Message - Ayumi. Hi. I am back to spending the entire day on the computer. Trying to finish up tons of projects while Akiko is still working. This weekend we are staying up in Palomar Mountain at a friends house. Gonna play in the snow for the weekend and then come back. Should be fun. Next week is a mochi party. Tons of stuff going on now. Anyway, gonna be online through the afternoon. Send email when you can. Howie.

December 18, 2008 - Email Message - Joel. Hi. I received the email you sent including the information about the course. Thanks. Will definitely check out the site. Please use this email address from now on as this is my personal account and checked pretty much every day.
xxxxxxxx@hotmail.com
Anyway, today is drying out nicely after the rain the last few days. It was nice staying inside though and watching the rain while working. Akiko and I plan to go up to the mountains this weekend to see the snow. A friend of mine has a place up on Palomar Mountain with his wife and daughter. It was nice meeting you recently. Hopefully you and I can get together and go for a hike when you can find the time. Send email when you can. Howie.

December 18, 2008 - Email Message - Bjorn. Hi. I checked it on the map and no problem getting there. Akiko and I plan to go out for breakfast early on Saturday and then need to go to pick up some promotional materials for the English site. Probably leave SD about 10 am. We might head up to the observatory to take a few pictures. Should be at your place early afternoon with towels. Will send email again before the weekend. Talk to you again. Howie.

December 18, 2008 - Email Message - Bjorn. Hi again. I was wondering if it might be possible to park at your place. I realize Akiko needs to wear running shoes since she has no boots. Might be difficult walking from the lodge. Since my truck is four wheel drive and I spent many years driving in the snow in Buffalo, thought it might be possible to make it up to your place. Send email and let me know what you think. Howie.

December 18, 2008 - Email Message - Hi again. Um, the chains could be a problem. Although, I met up with those dudes on the way up to the Lagunas one year and convinced them to let me up based on my driving experience and driving a four wheel drive vehicle. We do not have chains which could keep us from coming up if you really think it might be a problem. If we are allowed all the way up S6 without chains then no problem coming up. I know Akiko is looking forward to it. Hopefully the road will be good. Stay in contact and let me know if things improve today or tomorrow. Talk to you again.

December 19, 2008 - Email Message - Hi. finally weekend… see you tonight. I love you. (from work) Akiko.

December 19, 2008 - Email Message - Hi. Yippee weekend. See you tonight. I love you. (to work) Howie.

December 19, 2008 - Email Message - Bjorn. Hi. I am getting ready to head up to your place tomorrow. Akiko is pretty excited about it. We want to know if you guys drink wine or beer, um, or both. We also want to know if you like curry and rice. Anyway, should be online much of the day as usual. Check out this link.
http://www.sockandawe.com/
Talk to you again. Howie.

December 19, 2008 - Email Message - Ellie. Hi. I really want to thank you for being there and talking with Akiko. I know this is a difficult time for her and being away from family and Japan is not making it any easier. The fact she can talk with friends like you makes her feel much better. I am really happy we could meet you this year. Hey, one of these days it would be nice to meet you at the bagel shop for lunch and you and I can talk alone. No doubt I can learn a lot from you. Akiko is pretty quiet and I know your husband is probably the same type of personality. Sometimes nice for a couple of talkers to get together. Let me know when you can meet. Anyway, I am spending a lot of time on my new, and very ambitious project, of providing a lesson per day on my English site. The site is now 1633 pages. You can go to the English site at this address.
http://funeasyenglish.com/
Then click on Classroom and you can see some partially finished lessons. My friend is making up some shirts for me and then I am going to being producing videos in about a week. Kind of working on the scripts and setting up the pages now. These are the other sites.
http://sandiegocaliforniaevents.com/
http://japaneselanguageculturefood.com/
Anyway, I should be online much of today as usual. Send email when you can. Until then. Howie.

December 19, 2008 - Email Message - Yup, we plan to bring all the stuff. Sleeping bags, blankets, pillows, and toiletries. Please don’t go to any trouble. We are extremely low maintenance guests. I could tell you stories. Anyway, the plan is set. Going to the bagel shop early in the morning, pick up the promotional materials from my friend at 9 am and then off to your place. woohoo. Probably will send another email tonight. Today working on the Classroom section of English site. Basically setting up the scripts, tests, and other stuff in preparation for making the videos. Akiko checks the stuff anytime but she is really not into science much. Would really be cool if Rigel could check out the lessons. Ask her to correct any mistakes. hehe. Talk to you again.

December 19, 2008 - Email Message - Hey, I picked up Akiko and she was pretty wiped out and went to sleep instead of making food. Although we are not bringing curry, we picked up a bunch of other yummy stuff. Sat around and got drunk, hmmmm. Seems like you and I will get along with no problem. Ah, those pesky accoutrements. Anyway, made this cool storm chasing page tonight. Still working out the details though. Anyway, see you tomorrow. Until then.

December 22, 2008 - Email Message - Hi. It was nice weekend. See you tonight. I love you. (from work) Akiko.

December 22, 2008 - Email Message - Hi. Yup, a nice weekend. See you tonight. I love you. (to work) Howie.

December 22, 2008 - Email Message - Bjorn. Hi. I want to thank you for inviting us up this past weekend. Akiko and I really really enjoyed ourselves. Your home is incredible and it was nice to finally talk for hours without needing to rush Akiko to work. It was nice to see the real picture of living in the mountains. I really would like to get a place up there but need to think a lot more now after listening to your stories. Anyway, the food was delicious and playing in the snow was a lot of fun. We would like to come up again when it is convenient for you guys. Should be able to get the pictures and video online sometime today or tonight. Now doing laundry and cleaning the house up. I tried the renaissance station today but not working on my computer. Really need to talk about the move to Asia. You really seem to want to do this and pretty much a definite for us at this point. More about this next time we meet. Anyway, please forward this to Mary Ellen and send her email address when you can. Thank you again. Howie.

December 22, 2008 - Email Message - Bjorn. Hi again. Yup, I learned a lot staying at your home for sure. Actually Akiko is beginning to show much more interest in the economy and politics recently. Kind of difficult for her to catch everything in a difficult English conversation but good English practice nonetheless. Another oil run, hmmmm. You know I was thinking you could do a pretty descent restaurant review and base your ratings on the percentage of crap you find in the oil of various restaurants, hehe. Hey, I uploaded five videos. Go to the following link.
http://www.youtube.com/user/sandiegoevents
Within the list of 39 videos, click see all. The Palomar videos are at the top. Click watch in high quality if it shows up under the videos. One of the videos was shot with the wrong setting. Easy to tell. The others are good though. After you watch the five videos, go back to the main page. Click Most Viewed. Watch the first video on the list from the House of India. The kids are incredible. Then watch the Summer of Change video with the dollar bill sticking out of the car. It took second place in the Democratic Party of California video contest. I received three thousand dollars and the video was used on television. We totally got caught up in talking and forgot to listen to you play guitar. Next time we should make a video of it and put it on YouTube. Anyway, I was wondering if you want to learn Japanese in preparation for possibly going there. Check out my Japanese site at this address.
http://japaneselanguageculturefood.com/
Then click pronunciation. I set up this table as an easy way to learn Japanese pronunciation using English words. You can click on any of the underlined test in the table and get detailed information about the sound and the characters in the Japanese scripts. It took me a year to get this together and set up these pages which now total about 1,600 hundred including the kanji pages. Planning to add a lot more to this site in the coming months. Anyway, should be up late working again tonight. Kind of a bummer the renaissance site is not up. Could use some good music. Send email when you can. Howie.

December 23, 2008 - Email Message - Hi. it is a long day… looking forward to seeing you. See you tonight. I love you. (from work) Akiko.

December 23, 2008 - Email Message - Hi. Yup, looking forward to seeing you. See you tonight. I love you. (to work) Howie.

December 24, 2008 - Email Message - Hi. it seems like it will rain… see you soon. I love you. (from work) Akiko.

December 24, 2008 - Email Message - Hi. Yup, probably. See you this afternoon. I love you. (to work) Howie.

December 24, 2008 - Email Message - Um, the wood is easier. Actually I went through the TEFL program at the American Language Institute at SDSU. It was new at the time and a lot cheaper then. Because the program is university based, the certificate is recognized abroad as opposed to the online crap certificates out there. You can check it out at these links.
http://www.americanlanguage.org/amTEFL.html?nav=6

If you should decide to enroll in the program, definitely talk to me beforehand. The director is a good friend of mine and I can probably get him to be your mentor. The dude was tough and really turned me into a teacher. With your masters in music and the certificate, you would be able to easily find a job except for the age thingy. The certificate would make it much easier for me to qualify you to work in my schools though. Freaking age discrimination over in Asia. Really sucks unless you make your own schools. There is always China and Thailand though. Japan is tough now. Check out the links and send email with your thoughts.

December 24, 2008 - Email Message - Bjorn. Hi. I was picking up Akiko from work. She went in really early and was early getting off. We went shopping and now back to work again, um on the computer. Anyway, about the program. Yup, definitely let me know before you enroll. Easy is good but tough will be better in the long run. Really I enjoyed the program a lot. My friend is a really good teacher. Sure does humble a person though. They give you this grammar test when you begin the program. Makes you realize Americans know very little about their own language. Totally understand about you wanting to know everything before you manage people expected to do the same thing. Good policy for sure. It looks like the storm will arrive soon. Should be a fair amount of rain and maybe snow for you guys. Should be online for awhile. Send email with any questions you might want to ask. Howie.

December 24, 2008 - Email Message - Bjorn. Hey, I was watching the original Star Trek online with Akiko. Pretty unusual since she is not really into it. You older dudes can watch all the original shows online. Check out the links.

December 29, 2008 - Email Message - Jim. Hi. I really want to thank you for the wonderful dinner the other night and the presents. It really was nice to talk about family stuff again. I put your banner on all of the pages in Area Focus, about 89 pages, and in the classifieds section, about 12 pages. Planning to link directly to the pages from the home page beginning next week. This should give you quite a bit of exposure. Anyway, Akiko is home from work today and tomorrow. She was really not feeling good. I needed to push her to stay home. Ah, the Japanese work ethic. Send email when you can. Howie.

As you already know Akiko is home today. She pretty much spent the entire day in bed with the exception of making a quick lunch. Hopefully things improve after she gets through the initial three months. Akiko has become very homesick recently. Again, things should improve within the next few weeks. Thank you for extending kindness to her anytime. Talk to you again. Howie.

December 29, 2008 - Email Message - Masako. Hi. I really enjoyed watching the game with you this weekend. Yup, now a chargers fan. Um, I need to talk with you about coming to your house. I was kinda hoping not to be real straight about this and finally no choice. Really do not want to hurt your feelings but Akiko is really pushing to go there. The reason for not going is because of the cat. Recently your cat is very sick and I am too worried Akiko could catch something, especially during the initial months of pregnancy. She is going to be checked the beginning of next year and if they say there is no problem, then we can come. Hopefully you are not upset and understand about my thinking. Actually we needed to cancel the Palomar trip too because Akiko said she is too wiped out. We went out for breakfast today and she was shindokatta and kimochi warukatta. She still has the Japanese work ethic and wanted to go to work anyway. I needed to push her to stay home. She will be home tomorrow again and then in on Wednesday to work a partial day. She pretty much spent the entire day in bed with the exception of making a quick lunch. Hopefully things improve after she gets through the initial three months. Akiko has become very homesick recently. Again, things should improve within the next few weeks. Send email when you can. Howie.

December 31, 2008 - Email Message - Hi. I am happy to go home. See you this afternoon. I love you. (from work) Akiko.

December 31, 2008 - Email Message - Jim. Hi. I was wondering what time you want me and Akiko to come tonight. Send email when you can. Howie.

December 31, 2008 - Email Message - Risa. Hi. Thanks. Yup, I needed to change many plans because Akiko is pregnant. Actually things will work out much better now. Many of the things I wanted to talk with you about changed now but not totally. I want to meet you next month and see if you are interested in working with SD businesses and making videos for the English site. Hey, I need a favor as soon as possible. I need you to go to the English site.

Click Classroom. On the Class schedule, go to the pages from January 1 – January 7. Each page has a survey. Please leave a comment on each survey even if you already made a comment before. This is really important and your comments are very good anytime. A longer comment is better. I really appreciate this. We can talk again during the week and decide when to meet. Happy New Year and thank you again. Howie.

December 31, 2008 - Email Message - Bjorn, Mary Ellen. Hi. I wanted to tell you Happy New Year. Akiko and I will not be able to make it to your house this weekend but thank you so much for your offer. Akiko is getting pretty nauseous recently and cannot handle a long time on the road. Should be better soon though. We would like to come up again in a few weeks if it is convenient for you guys. Thank you again. Howie, Akiko.
