May 2, 2008 - Email Message - Hi Howie. Thank you for letting me know about the event posting; however, I am super busy and didn’t have time to post. I take a look at it but it seems like a long process to do although if I try once it should get easier. ^^ Anyway, I hope you guys can make it to the event. Hideo will be helping me until 9am… If not, sometimes on the weekend at the OB pier for fishing. Let’s get together again and have some wine! Yuki.

May 2, 2008 - Email Message - Yuki. Hi. Actually posting events is extremely easy. You simply click on the date of your event and input the following information. Location. Title. Description. Anyway, maybe next time. I began making event videos and already they are becoming very popular. Check it out.

The director of the lawn program in Balboa Park bought lunch and invited me and Akiko to her house for dinner because of the House of India videos. Anyway, this looks to be a busy summer. Meet one of these days. Talk to you again. Howie.

May 2, 2008 - Email Message - Jim. I sent this to your online contact form and forgot the links to my sites were a signature in this email account. Anyway, this is the same email with the links included. Hi. It certainly has been awhile. I need someone who can provide real estate and mortgage services. I decided to contact you and see if you might be interested in handling the following situations. * Friends of mine recently bought a house in Mission Valley. The house is now in escrow and they are shopping around for a mortgage and asked me if I knew anyone who could find a good loan for them. * My wife Akiko and I are planning to purchase a house at the end of this summer and wanted to begin looking now. We would need a loan and we want to rent out the condo which is paid off. A bit about our situation. Akiko is working full-time for a good company in SD. I own four websites now, three of which total over 3000 pages. The links to the three sites are at the bottom of this email. The newest website is in the beginning stages. We expect fairly good income from all four sites within the next few months. Incidentally, you could be doing much more with your site to generate more business. After four years doing site design and SEO, pretty much an expert on the subject. Be happy to show you. Anyway, now over 600 local and national groups are posting events regularly on my SD site. You can check out our SD event and English instruction videos. Let me know when you would like to meet and discuss all this. Send email when you can. Howie.

Check out the videos if you want, especially the House of India. You can go to YouTube and watch them in high quality.

Should meet if you are back in SD. Send email when you can. Howie.

May 2, 2008 - Email Message - Mariko. Hey. It took some time to figure out that was you on the answering machine and at my house. Thought you were my neighbor who likes to come over and talk for an hour. I was home actually. Anyway, let me know ahead of time if you plan to visit. Usually home in the afternoon and working and not answering anytime. Now Akiko is working full time and I am around in the afternoon. Send email when you can. Howie.

May 2, 2008 - Email Message - Rie. Hi. I am writing to you about your mail coming to the house. Received what looks like important mail from the bank. Been forwarding your mail but many are returned. You really should close the account. Anyway, we are doing really good. Akiko works full time at a good travel company in Mission Valley about half a mile from your work. The pay and benefits are really good and we get free travel. Now I am producing event videos in San Diego. If things come together, we plan to buy a house toward the end of the summer. I know none of this interests you, but decided to tell you. Hopefully you are doing good. Talk again. Howie.

May 2, 2008 - Email Message - Hi Howie. I'm doing good. How about you? How's everything? I just started to work at HITACHI from April. I moved to Kanagawa prefecture cuz my office is in Odawara. Do you know Odawara?Odawara is in the west part of Kanagawa prefecture. It takes about 1hours and 20 minutues from here to Tokyo. Also,it takes only 20 minutes from here to Atami and Hakone. It is country side but it's nice city.Pls visit me when you come to Japan. Tell me something about you. Mimai.

May 2, 2008 - Email Message - Mimai. Hey, congratulations on the job. Really good company and you can make tons of money and visit SD anytime. Yup. Anyway we are doing really good. Akiko is working full time at a good travel company in Mission Valley. The money and benefits are good and we get free travel. Now I am making event videos.
http://sandiegocaliforniaevents.com/san-diego-california-events-videos.htm

We are doing many things and getting ready for a busy summer. Anyway, let me know what you think about the videos. You should come to SD and visit us. Send email when you can. Until then. Howie.

May 3, 2008 - Email Message - Hi Howie. Wow, what a surprise to get your email! Nice to hear from you. You have a couple of cool web sites that I looked at. How long have you been doing these? They look great. Thanks for thinking about me in regards to your referral and your own lending needs. I imagine that you have known a few lenders over the years. Tell your friend to email me his best quote and I will make it better. As for you - 12% and 5 points! :-) Of course I would do a killer loan for you! Are you still licensed? Damn, how long has it been? 20 years? Jim.

May 3, 2008 - Email Message - hi howie. how have you been? im glad to hearing from you. im doing great. its golden week here. im going to ise day after tomorrow. i hope you enjoy your weekend. take care. reiko.

May 3, 2008 - Email Message - Hi Howie. I'm great and sorry :::: I didn't reply to your e-mail. Gomenne--!! I have been busy because try to keep busy. ha ha ha:: My computer doesn't work well now and I should buy new computer. May be:::?! How are you guys? Are you going to Japan this year? I hope everything goes well for you.  Keep in touch. Mako.

May 4, 2008 - Email Message - Howie. Hi, I just noticed that it has been 2 years since I left from San Diego. Dude, so far so good. I became fulltime employee last week, (actually I was working as parttime) so I moved in the main floor of the store, in which I can make more money, and I am working for the men's department. My English is still developing, so it's handicap for me to compete with my coworkers, but I realized that I can speak three different languages. I'm still learning English and skills for sale, but I'm kinda sure of making money as much as the others do. I keep working at Japanese restaurant, and I became a host for Friday night. As you imagine, Friday night is crazy... a lot of phone calls and walk-in customers. I have to organize reservation customers and tables, and also taking to go orders. Sometimes it drives me crazy, however, it is a very good opportunity to train my English. Life is busy, but I am very satisfied with my situation. I can feel that I am learning a looooot. How is your life? I haven't seen your English site recently, but I guess it has been successful. Let me know how you guys have been. Mimai started working at Hitachi company last month, she lives in Odawara now. Takumi .

May 5, 2008 - Email Message - Jim. Hi. Yup, really been awhile. I was telling Akiko that you and I grew up together and we were saying what a shame it is there has been no contact for such a long time. Hopefully that will change from now. Thanks much for the kind words about the sites. Been doing this for awhile and really fun. A little bit of background. I was self-employed as a real estate appraiser for many years. I closed the company and retired about 8 years ago and went back to school and graduated with a degree in Japanese studies and then a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) certificate from SDSU. I traveled abroad several times to teach English and then made an English language learning site. The Japanese Society of San Diego wanted to advertise on the site. We were invited to a Beer and Sake festival and after the festival we began making the SD site. The Japanese language learning site is more of a hobby site but getting really popular. I read hundreds of publications over the last few years and became quite adept at optimizing sites for search. Tell you more about this another time if you’re interested. Anyway, my friends names are Miyuki and Jason. Actually I met Miyuki many years ago and we are very good friends. I am going to send your name and email address to them and tell them to contact you. No problem about the referrals. You and I go back a long way and I am happy to send you any real estate business. Actually I am pretty connected in this town because of the SD site. Every year around 600 groups post hundreds of events for free. In return, Akiko and I get “comp” tickets to just about everything in town. I began making event videos a few weeks ago and already getting a lot of attention from these. The videos for the House of India performances in Balboa Park got us free lunch and an invitation to the director’s house for dinner a couple weeks later. Check this link for the videos.
http://sandiegocaliforniaevents.com/san-diego-california-events-videos.htm
No doubt, I can send tons of business your way using the site. Not sure if you remember Jim and Linda Timlin. They own San Diego Business Supply and our families go back many years. I put his logo and a link to his site on the SD site and they received a lot of business. Anyway, talk more about this when we meet. You can check out our crazy English videos.
http://funeasyenglish.com/english-video-lessons.htm
Akiko and I enjoy a good Cabernet anytime. Not sure if you and your wife are wine drinkers but we should definitely do a pot luck at our place or your place. Akiko is a fantastic cook and we can bring some Japanese cuisine. She works M-F until 5:30 each night. We could meet during the week or, even better, on Friday or the weekend and spend the evening drinking and getting caught up on many years. Let me know when dinner would be convenient. Tell me if there are any foods you guys cannot eat. We go to a lot of dinner parties and got in the habit of asking. Many of our friends cannot eat spicy food or have food allergies. We eat pretty much anything. Anyway, enough writing already. Send email when you can. Howie.

May 5, 2008 - Email Message - Jim. Hi. We waited for you until 1:00 pm and then decided to go back. Good thing you decided to stay home actually. The fishing was not good and it was not warm. Akiko and I went to Old Town for stinko de mayo on Sunday. It was fun and gonna be posting some videos tonight including a video of a really cool performer from Ecuador. Let me know if the Springfest thingy was good or not. Talk to you again. Howie.

May 5, 2008 - Email Message - I did the spring fest because I did not have to pay for the booth I set up the GNABA booth and Shared it with GNABA. Since I did not pay i was not upset that the event really sucked. i WILL NOT GO BACK NEXT year. I worked from 5:30 AM to 1:00 PM (my relief at noon was late). I then went home and took a nap till 3:15. and came back at 4 to tear down the booth. The only hilite of the day was riding on the GNABA float IN THE PARADE and Throwing Rubber hammers at the crowd. I will do that agAIN. Sorry I missied Fishing. @We live 3 blocks from each other we can talk without spending 4.00 on gas. I even talk on the phone so Please call. Jim.

May 5, 2008 - Email Message - Jim. Yeah kinda figured it would suck. After getting booted out last year, we decided not to bother covering the event. Throwing stuff at people is totally cool though. We went to stinko de mayo and really enjoyed the day. Because of the site, we get media parking anywhere we go. We show our business card and get fantastic parking. Good side benefit of the site. Met a lot of people and trying to finish up four new videos from the event. Akiko and I came home and made BBQ burritos. We polished off a ton of margaritas. Anyway, gonna send you email when the videos are online. The House of India video is already approaching 800 views in only a couple weeks. Talk to you again. Howie.

May 5, 2008 - Email Message - Risa. Hi. I read your email and want to talk to you about many things. You are really a nice girl and do not want to see you hurt again. You should meet me and talk when you can. I know a lot about this kind of relationship and can give you some good information to protect yourself. Maybe there will be no problems but either way, more information is better. I am walking at Mission Trails every Monday to Friday from about 9:15 until 10:45. This is kind of running and walking. You can meet me for this or meet at 10:45 am for only walking. You decide. Anyway, send email when you want to meet. Until then. Howie.

May 5, 2008 - Email Message - Miyuki. Hi. This is the information of a good friend and real estate agent. Can definitely get a good loan for you guys. Talk soon. Howie.

May 5, 2008 - Email Message - Marie. Hi. I am walking at Mission Trails every Monday to Friday from about 9:15 until 10:45. This is kind of running and walking. You can meet me for this or meet at 10:45 am for only walking. You decide. 619-697-1698. Anyway, send email when you want to meet. Until then. Howie.

May 5, 2008 - Email Message - Hi, Howie. It will be great to see you and meet Akiko. How long have you been married? How did you two meet? That is pretty amazing about closing your business and going back to school. It is nice to be doing something that you like. I will check out your links when I get a chance. Sounds like fun to get all those comps. Always something to do. Where do you live? Linda and I have been in PQ since we bought here in 1997. Life is crazy busy. I am working two jobs right now - more on that later - and Linda is also full time and two kids in school - but you know me - DEFINITELY UP for some wine. Fortunately, Linda does not drink. It would be fun to get together and see you again! Jim. btw, thanks for the referral. I'll let you know if they contact me.

May 6, 2008 - Email Message - Jim. Hi. I met Akiko in a small library in the countryside of Japan. Kind of a long and cool story. Tell you the details when we meet. We began dating many years ago and finally were married last year. We go back and forth to Japan a lot. Actually I was there for 6 months last year with a little time in Thailand. Again, many stories. Tell me the names of your kids and ages. You must be busy with them and working two jobs. Now Valerie is 18 and in college. I am thankful every day she turned out to be a nice girl, no drugs, no smoking, no drinking, etc. My place is across from the high school and I see the way kids are these days. We are planning a family now. Maybe your kids are already old enough to babysit. hehe. I was telling Akiko I learned a lot from you when we were kids and you were kind of an older brother. Lots of stories like keeping you up at night with my allergies. Funny stuff. Anyway, we can meet when you find the time. Akiko works m-f, 9:00 – 5:30 and the weekends are good anytime. You guys could also join us at one of the weekend events. Lots of cool stuff coming up. We plan to go to these for sure. This weekend - 20th Annual American Indian Culture Days. 5/17/08 - Explore Mission Trails Day. 5/25/08 - 26th Annual Ethnic Food Fair. You can read more about these events on my SD site. We both really like fishing and usually fit it in every weekend. You could bring the family out for that too. We pretty much became experts over the last few years. Yup. Oh yeah, we are in San Carlos a mile away from Mission Trails. You should take the kids hiking and to the visitors center for sure. Then we could do a BBQ at my place. About the wine. Akiko and her family are really strong drinkers. It was incredibly fun staying with them. Incidentally, we drink cheap….but delicious….wine. Anyway, let me know when you can meet. My telephone number is 619-697-1698. This is the home phone. No cell phones. Amazing. Talk to you soon. Until then. Howie.

May 6, 2008 - Email Message - Hello! How are you? I have been sick for six months since my wife and I started a divorce arranged through the Family Court. It's really hard task. I went to the Court three times, and talked with the members of a mediation committee. They agreed my point that my wife caused the ploblem, and the judgement was in my favor. But she didn't abide by the verdict. So I have to go to the Court to talk about her action once a month even though the divorce arrengement was done. I am really stressed out. I hope it will be good. MaKoTo.

May 6, 2008 - Email Message - Makoto. Hi. I totally understand what you are going through. I went through the same with my daughter many years ago. It totally sucked. The only thing I can tell you is hang in there. It will eventually be over and you can be happy and get your power back again. I think about the fun times I spent with you when you were in SD. You are welcome to visit and stay with us anytime. Akiko is a really good cook and we can feed you a lot. Yup. Anyway, keep in contact and let me know your situation. Talk to you again. Until then. May 6, 2008 - Email Message - Kelly. Hi. Really been awhile for sure. Recently some old friends contacted me and it made me think about many people. Decided to try to find friends who were important to me and thought of you. Anyway, about your question. This is kinda the quick summary. I closed my appraisal company about eight years ago. Went back to school and graduated with a degree in Japanese studies and a TEFL, Teaching English as a Foreign Language, certificate. Went to Japan and taught English several times. I met Akiko many years back. We dated and finally got married last year. I made a very successful online English teaching site, a SD event site, a Japanese site, and now another teaching related site is in the works. These are the site addresses.
http://funeasyenglish.com/
http://sandiegocaliforniaevents.com/
http://japaneselanguageculturefood.com/
I recently began making event videos for the SD site. Now about 600 groups post hundreds of events in a given year. This is the link for the video page.
http://sandiegocaliforniaevents.com/san-diego-california-events-videos.htm
These are the crazy English videos. You can see my wife in these. Some of the videos are really stupid but enjoy.
http://funeasyenglish.com/english-video-lessons.htm
Anyway, it seems like you became an attorney. Incredible. Really wanna know all about the last few years for you. It would be totally awesome to see you again if you are still in SD. Send email when you can. Until then. Howie.

May 6, 2008 - Email Message - Miyuki. Hi. I want you to check out the new videos on this page.
http://sandiegocaliforniaevents.com/san-diego-california-events-videos.htm
Especially check the Khausak video. This is a group from Ecuador. For sure you are gonna like this video. We are going to these events. This weekend - 20th Annual American Indian Culture Days. 5/17/08 - Explore Mission Trails Day. 5/25/08 - 26th Annual Ethnic Food Fair. You should try to make it. Talk to you again. Until then. Howie.

May 6, 2008 - Email Message - Miyuki. Hi. I think the Mission Trails thing might be boring for you anyway. Not sure if Akiko wants to go. Kinda need to cover the event as a favor to the director. Anyway, the food fair is really good and thousands of people go every year. Try to make it. We plan to get a group together. Should be a lot of fun. Talk to you again. Howie.

May 6, 2008 - Email Message - Miyuki. Hi. I want you to try going directly to my account in YouTube and see if you can play the video.
http://www.youtube.com/user/sandiegoevents
Send email and let me know if this works. Talk to you again. Howie.

May 6, 2008 - Email Message - Hi Howie. Ok, I'll try to make it to the food fair. Also I'll go to swap meet this Sunday on 5/11 not on the 5/18. It was mistake. I try to see the Y-tube, but it still doesn't play it. I don't know why... Anyway, the house buying process is good so far and the escrow will be close in this month, I hope. I can't wait to move to the new house. Also, since I have so many birds to sell, I'd like to create the online bird shop. You said that you know the best way to set up the web address or something like that. Right? Please let me know how to make an effective website address that many people can see it. Talk to you later and have a nice day. Miyuki.

May 7, 2008 - Email Message - Miyuki. Hi. I know you are gonna like the food fair. Talk to you again. Howie.

May 7, 2008 - Email Message - Jim. Hey, I received email from Miyuki but nothing about if she is planning to call you. She plans to go with us to the food fair this month in the park. You should join us and talk with her. Anyway, a bit of tech stuff for ya. Recently Akiko and I made some Google Gadgets. These are basically miniature applications that can be embedded in a blog, site, or iGoogle page. The gadgets we made put us in the top 80 Google Gadget developers worldwide. It was very cool. You can check out the gadgets we made for our sites up until now. Check out the number of jobs posted on the China job board.
http://funeasyenglish.com/google-gadgets.htm
These are our most popular gadgets and send about 60 percent of our site traffic on the Japanese site.
http://japaneselanguageculturefood.com/google-gadgets.htm
This is our classifieds section on the SD site.
http://sandiegocaliforniaevents.com/classifieds.htm
We made this awhile ago but decided to hold off promoting it until we made gadgets. People are still finding the classifieds in search and posting, especially those crazy real estate agents. You are welcome to post your listings in the real estate section and your mortgage services in the services section. The posts can be as long as you want and you can embed a picture. Check this page for posting tips.
http://sandiegocaliforniaevents.com/post-event.htm
This should keep you busy for awhile. Anyway, I was thinking that a mortgage rate calculator or even current real estate listings for sale might make good gadgets. It would be more visitors for our SD site and possibly generate more business for you. Yup, the Internet is awesome for sure. Send email with your thoughts when you can. Howie.

May 7, 2008 - Email Message - Cliff. Hey, I actually finished up many projects and can check out your business. Maybe not the thing for me but a friend of mine could be interested. Now making video productions for events in SD. Really fun. Check it out.
http://sandiegocaliforniaevents.com/san-diego-california-events-videos.htm
Should make one for your band sometime. Anyway, wanna know if you plan to do any kayak fishing this year. Akiko and I went fishing and caught a lot already. Send email when you can. Howie.

May 7, 2008 - Email Message - Hi Howie. How have you been? I have been ok, just going to school. I just watched "toilet training" video on your website. It was sooo funny! I didn't know Shimajiro actually did that kind of video! I want to go to Japan this summer, but I don't know I can make it because a flight ticket is very expensive now through summer... Have a great week and talk to ya later. Kumiko.

May 7, 2008 - Email Message - Kumiko. Hey, yeah the video is really funny for sure. Lot of good stuff on that site. Now making event videos. Check it out.
http://sandiegocaliforniaevents.com/san-diego-california-events-videos.htm
Lot of fun really. Yeah, I really wanna go to Japan too but this is the time for events in SD and need to stay around because of business. Hey, a group of us are going to the food fair later this month. You should bring your friends out and join us. Gonna be thousands of people.
http://sandiegocaliforniaevents.com/events-may-25.htm
Send email when you can. Howie.

May 7, 2008 - Email Message - Hi my dear friend!! How have you been?!?!?! How's married life going? So glad to hear from you!!:) I have been extremely busy with work and everything that is going on with my life... As you know, I work for a Japanese company, and it definitely is not easy since they are all workholics... I have put in pretty much 12-15 hours per day for the past months and even had to come in during weekends sometimes... Although I am learning a lot, I am kind of tired...>< A few weeks ago, I started GMAT course with Kaplan and it is going well. It requires lots of studying time. I do my homework every Sat and class is on Sundays. Besides that, I also work out at least 4 times a week in order to keep in shape. I mean, I am shocked how easy to gain weight... I think that I just gain a couple lbs today by breatheing...:( Anyhow, try to write a longer e-mail to me let me know how you have been next time, ok?! Take care and wish you a great day!!:) Journey.

May 7, 2008 - Email Message - Journey. Hey, tons of stuff to talk about. You should go walking with me and we can talk. Mission Trails pretty much every day. Yeah Akiko is good and marriage is good. Some days are better. You know the way it is. Anyway, let me know if you can go in the morning or afternoon. Send email when you can. Howie.

May 8, 2008 - Email Message - Ayumi. Hi. The event is both days this weekend. You can check the SD site for details. Yeah, Monday sounds good for walking and lunch. Freaking busy every day. Getting ready to make the online English school. The domain name is registered and now working on video conferencing technology. More about this another time. Gonna be very cool. Send email when you can. Howie.

May 8, 2008 - Email Message - yes! come back! i had good time during golden week and lost my energy. im down. lol. i enjoyed your video. i would like to visit san diego! hey, i just got back on myspace. heres my URL, add me if you still have it. well, have a nice day! .....reiko.

May 8, 2008 - Email Message - Reiko. Hi. Yup, I think you should move to SD someday. Definitely would be fun hanging out together. Gonna add you in both MySpace accounts. Send email again when you can. Until then. Howie.

May 9, 2008 - Email Message - Jim. Hi. Getting back to some real estate stuff. I need to get an idea about housing prices in the San Carlos, 92119, area. We talked about it and decided we definitely want to stay in this neighborhood. We know a lot of people and we like being close to Mission Trails. Akiko would like to move to La Jolla. Maybe next year, hehe. Anyway, no need for street names at this point but if you can run a CMA and send prices along with SF and BR and BA count, that would be sufficient for now. We can at least get an idea. Also need to know about the interest rates for a 30-yr fixed loan. Send email when you can. Thanks. Howie.

May 9, 2008 - Email Message - Hi, Howie. I'll get all that info for you. For conformaing loans $417 and below, the 30 year is at 5.75% right now. Jim.

May 9, 2008 - Email Message - Jim. Definitely we are looking at the cheapest you can find. A 2br, 1ba is not a problem but 3 br is better. For sure looking at an 80 percent LTV. Need to hang onto the condo and rent it until this suck selling market changes. The only requirement is the San Carlos zip. A fixer is not a problem since Akiko and I can do pretty much any house stuff. Know UR busy, take your time. Send the info when you can. Let us know about dinner. Your place or mine. Until then. Howie.

May 9, 2008 - Email Message - Um, important stuff. Needs to be an SFR, no condos, no pud's, nothing with HOF's. Thanks.

May 9, 2008 - Email Message - Indeed. What's up? Rob.

May 9, 2008 - Email Message - Hey I wanna know whassup with you. Anyway, let me know when the summer session begins. And come on now, get together for dinner. Send email when you can.

May 9, 2008 - Email Message - Dear Howie. My name is Neil Hovland and I have been speaking with Aya Ibarra from the Japan Society. She has been very helpful and, as you may know, told me I should get in contact with you. Here is a little bit about me. I am twenty-five year old married guy who just finished everything for a Masters of Arts at SDSU in Asian Pacific Studies. My wife does not have a degree, but we wanted to experience Japan before we start a family. Now my specialization is Japanese History. The only problem is I have never lived in Japan, I have been there twice and took three years of the language as an undergrad, but frankly without living there I'm all talk. What do I really know about Japan without having lived there? Plus, it is very important if I want to get into any PhD. program down the line. So I thought to myself the easiest thing to do would be to teach English in Japan. Well, there are some problems with this. I know it is highly competetive for one and a lot of people apply to the Big English Schools, but also a lot of those schools seem to actively discourage bringing any family to Japan. I want this to be a shared experience with my wife and I so Aya said you were the person to talk to about contacting more private schools/tutoring and the like. I am not too worried about salary and such as we have money saved up, but maybe you can help steer me in places to apply which are less aprehensive about couples coming over. Or even still should we just go to Japan and try our luck once there? Anyway, thank you for your time and I hope to have a response from you with any questions or comments soon. Neil Hovland.

May 10, 2008 - Email Message - Jim. Hi. I was not sure if Akiko and I should be coming to your house tonight. Call and leave a message at xxx-xxx-xxxx. Need to talk about product stuff. Talk to you soon. Until then. Howie.

May 10, 2008 - Email Message - Jim. Hi. No problem about the dinner. Completely understand. It works out because Akiko and I want to work on some new site technology and then get drunk tonight. hehe. Anyway, check the home page of the SD site. You can vote for your favorite candidate in the upcoming election. Pretty cool. Added this today. You can vote in each poll once on each of your computers. Talk to you again. Howie.

May 10, 2008 - Email Message - Howie and Akiko. I think I made a mistake. The dinner was to be special for just Linda and Arlene and I think I stepped on some toes. Doug is doing the cooking and it looks like it may be at Arlenes. I am really not involved. Arlenes is pretty small place and seating is at a premium. So I need to resind our invitation because it was not mine to extend. I hope you understand. Please call when you get this. We will make it another time. Jim.

May 10, 2008 - Email Message - Mya. Hi. I wanted to write and make sure you are not experiencing any problems because of recent events in your country. Send email when you can. Howie.

May 11, 2008 - Email Message - Jim. Hi. I wanted to update you on some Internet stuff. The new technology was installed last night in the form of opinion polls for the upcoming election. I spent the entire day collecting politician email from the registrar of voters site and a ton of other sites which now totals about 16 pages of email addresses. Anyway, began sending email to politicians and they are going crazy voting and sending email to everyone to vote on the polls. The site traffic is already over 10 times the normal amount and probably gonna be much higher tonight. They post and then keep coming back to check the new results. We are planning an entire election coverage on the SD site beginning next month, including polls, opinion and debate boards, and new Google gadgets. Gonna be crazy. Anyway, I needed to take off all the banners on the home page except for the banners to my other Internet sites as the home page needs to be redone in preparation for the upcoming elections. Needed to get it cleaned up a bit. Things will be back to normal in awhile. Someone posted a comment about the Passover video. Probably they know you. Check it on this page.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X42i9EGfUhY
Akiko and I wanna know when you guys wanna come for dinner. Send email when you can. Until then. Howie.

May 11, 2008 - Email Message - Ayumi. Hi. I am not gonna be able to meet you tomorrow. This weekend I put new technology on the site and made an election poll for the upcoming elections in June 2008. The polls are already really popular and need to stay home to make sure the server can handle the extra visitors. Check the polls from the link on the home page. The SD site is gonna be crazy popular within the next few months. Hang in there until next week. Can met when this settles a bit. Send email when you can. Howie.

May 11, 2008 - Email Message - Hi, Howie. The link below gives you all of the listings in 92119 - a whopping 19 homes. Prices have definitely come down. It is a good time to buy. I talked to a new client who told me that his friend was buying condos in El Cajon for $130K. Two bedrooms and Section 8 is paying $1,200. He is getting a positive cash flow on all of them. I have heard other anecdotal evidence too. I have an agent in South Bay who sold a SFR: Built 2004, 4 BR, 2.5 bath 1800+ sq ft, REO...$360,000! Can you believe it? When it went into escrow, there were 5 homes on the block for sale. They all went pending within 7 days. Prices are really bottoming out and the investors and owner occupants are moving in. I'll also forward you another story from the WSJ. By the way, you can get on Tempo 3 until the end of May unless they extend it again. www.sandicor.com user is 612121 and pass is Danman1. This will go away when Tempo 5 goes solo. They came out with a code fob that you have to use to get on Tempo 5. The code lasts 60 seconds. They are really making it so only agents with the code fob can have access to the MLS. I called Miyuki today. She left me a message on Thursday, but I was swamped all weekend. She chose a lender out of Anaheim, quoting 5.625% and 1 point and $2,400 in fees. I quoted her 5.5% and 1 point and $2,000 in fees. Low over head and all that! I would end up with about a half point profit, but that's cool to get the deal. I put her in a tizzy. She would like the loan but I can tell that she isn't the kind of person that can cancel with her other lender. She sounds very sweet. It's cool if she doesn't switch, and I do appreicate the referral. I just had a busy week....where were all these people for the last 18 months?! We will have to catch up soon. Jim.

May 11, 2008 - Email Message - Jim. Hi. Thanks for the information. Will definitely check it out. Yeah, real estate is crazy in SD anytime. Yup, Miyuki is really nice but being Japanese it might be difficult for her to switch. She comes to me for advice anytime. It might be possible to sway her in your direction. Akiko and I spent the weekend home working. Kind of a long story but been working with this Javascript company for the last year. Their technology is really cool and utilizes their servers. Tried it before but many issues came up and told the owner they need to work things out before I use it on my sites. Much better now and made voter opinion polls. The local politicians are going crazy over this. The site traffic increased over ten times already and still a few more hours to go tonight. Akiko and I plan to do much more for the next elections. A link to the polls is on the home page of the SD site.
http://sandiegocaliforniaevents.com/
Not sure what you know about the Internet business but pretty much like a newspaper. More visitors means more advertising revenue. We get paid 24 hours a day from clicks on ads. We are finally getting ready to go into direct ads and online shops. Companies approached us many times but we declined as I was not ready to go back into a full time business. Anyway, really looking forward to getting together and talking about all this. Probably put you to sleep with all the boring site talk. Anyway, the food fair is coming up later this month. If you cannot find time to meet before then, at least we can meet at the event. Really fun and cheap food. Send email with your thoughts. Talk to you again. Howie.

May 11, 2008 - Email Message - Jim. Hi. We really enjoyed access to the property listings. Akiko and I decided on this house in La Jolla for 24 million. A bit much to clean and kind of too many bathrooms. Unbelieveable. Actually the house was in RSF. Not sure. Anyway, we really were not thinking about a house until the summer but a couple houses caught our attention in Santee. If we rent out the condo it should cover our payments but need you to run some calculations to be sure. These are the properties. Not much to look at but we plan to move again in a couple years if the market picks up and maybe even sell the condo and put the equity from both places into a new home. Both places are bank owned. 9710 Carita Ct. MLS #: 081034160. 8458 Angila Drive. MLS #: 081034048. Need to know the monthly payments for a 200,000 30-yr fixed loan. Would also need to know the points and all other fees, escrow, title, etc. Please send the information when you can. Thanks again. Howie.

May 12, 2008 - Email Message - Jim. Hi. Yup, kinda funny. We wanted to know who in the heck was posting a video comment. Mystery solved. Akiko and I decided to look into purchasing a house. Good time to invest. We are hoping to keep getting crap properties and make money on resale. The SD finished the weekend with more traffic than the English and Japanese sites combined. Anyway, getting ready to put more election stuff on the site. Making tons of political connections with this. Talk to you again. Howie.

May 12, 2008 - Email Message - Jim. Hi. We are going to drive the closest property tonight when Akiko gets off work. I checked some comps for the condo, and prices went down like 30 percent from a couple years ago. Really awful. The rental income would be good though being close to two colleges. Yup, this was the place I bought for my folks many years ago at a foreclosure sale. I worked for many years in order to retire and basically do anything I wanted. Really enjoy the ease of the online business and the freedom to travel. Can work anywhere now. The condo makes things easy and I was really not thinking about a house but now Akiko is working fulltime and likes her job. Decided it was better to invest if we plan to stay in this country for awhile. About Miyuki. She will no doubt contact me soon for advice. Hopefully she will end up using your services. Linda and Alex, wife and child? Tell me more about your kids. Fun for me anytime to get together and talk about anything related to site design and the Internet. Anyway, will send you email tonight after we check the house. The 8458 Angila Drive property. Appreciate it if you could check and make sure there are no pending offers. Thanks. Talk to you again. Howie.

May 12, 2008 - Email Message - Hi, Howie. Don't worry about Miyuki - it can be tough to switch. No one needs and extra pressure when buying a home. It makes good sense to live in something for two years and then sell. You would be able to sell both the condo and thr new house on the Owner Occ 2 out of 5 rule tax free capital gains. Is this the condo that was your folks'? Today, you are looking at 5.75% no points. This is the way to go especially when selling in 2 years. P&I = $1,167. Other fees? Standard: Processing $350, escrow depends on the sales price but say around $750, title $375, appraisal $375, credit $20, Lender fees $850 all together, impounds if you want them, recording $100, notary $125. That's about it. Santee is a nice area. It has seen a lot of development in recent years. Are you going to drive the homes? If we lived closer together I would loan you my lock box key. I need to forward your web sites to Linda and Alex. They have good, critical eyes. Alex's hobby is constructing web sites. She would probaly love to learn stuff from you. She actually did my site quite a while ago, when she was 13 I guess. Jim.

May 12, 2008 - Email Message - Hi guys! 2 down and 2 to go. Our first two weeks in China have flown by! We've spent the time in Shanghai working at a lot of cool locations and meeting great people. We're off to Hong Kong tomorrow and then to a few more locations TBD. Here are a few photos from our adventure so far.
http://www.studioreddot.com/temp/ChinaPart1/index.html
Hope your all doing well. Talk to you soon! Alicia.

May 12, 2008 - Email Message - Alicia. Hey, sent a few emails but no reply. Seems like all is going good. Send email. Talk again. Howie.

May 12, 2008 - Email Message - That is sooooo funny. So I'm reading this e-mail and I look over to the CD my dad just bought. It says "Khausak". Small world! I guess you and my father have the same group at different events days apart! I love your sight with the videos. We just won a grant for video cameras for the non-profit. Whoohoo! Let's get together soon. My weekends are shot but I can meet during the week with enough notice. Aya.

May 12, 2008 - Email Message - Hey freaking weird but very cool. Check out the new voter opinion poll for the upcoming elections on the SD site. Getting a lot of attention. The site traffic went up over ten times this week. Get everyone to vote on this.

May 14, 2008 - Email Message - Jim. Hi. I would like you to see if there are any pendings on these properties. 9710 Carita Ct MLS #: 081034160. 8458 Angila Drive MLS #: 081034048. Akiko and I decided not to drive any properties until we know the listings are still active. Really busy these days. Anyway, let me know when you can. Thanks. Howie.

May 14, 2008 - Email Message - Howie. I have a call in to the listing office. Same office for both properties. I'll get info from the T.C. tomorrow. They are both new on the market and I am guessing that they have not gone pending yet. My experience with REO's is that the process moves very slowly. Jim.

May 14, 2008 - Email Message - Jim. Hi. Yup, go ahead and check on those properties. No sense in either one of us wasting time on properties already sold. Not really worried about property condition as long as the foundation is structurally sound. Anyway, we are going fishing at the OB pier on Saturday from early morning until late in the afternoon. You and anyone you want to bring are welcome to join us. Got plenty of extra poles. No license is required, there are bathrooms and a nice restaurant. Even if UR not into fishing, come out and talk real estate with us. Talk to you again. Howie.

May 14, 2008 - Email Message - Neil. Hi. I wanted to let you know that my wife Akiko and I will be fishing at the OB pier this Saturday from early morning until the late afternoon. This would be a good time to talk about your Japan plans. Incredibly busy recently and this might be the only chance to meet. Send email when you can. Howie.

May 14, 2008 - Email Message - Aya. Hi. We are really gonna try to make it out for at least the dinner on Friday but not sure. Working on tons of projects now, some which need to be in this weekend. We are also planning to go fishing really early on Saturday to stay cool. Gonna be really warm this weekend. Send email when you can. Howie.

May 14, 2008 - Email Message - Hello everyone! Hisashi, Dave, George, and I met yesterday to determine some new ideas for the Beer & Sake Festival. Now that we are closer to the event, I would like to invite all of you from last year to make this year better than ever. Beer & Sake Festival is on July 16, 2008 from 6pm-9pm. New things/focus for 2008: 1. Venue: W Hotel San Diego. Yup, we're taking over three stories. First story is check-in with wrist bands. Second story will be sake and food. Third story is beer. Tommy & Kyoko: what can we do to make the festival entrance better? Guest lists? I would love to have your comments and suggestions on tickets. 2. Prices: $40 for members; $50 for non-members of JSSDT. 3. Marketing: Beer & Sake Street Team. All: I'll have the postcards ready in print by the end of the week and need people to canvas certain locations to place them; PLUS we'll have the e-mail ready so you can forward to everyone in the world. Ray: where would be ideal locales for posters to be placed? How many posters do you think I should make? Tommy: do you think you can help with placing postcards at Japanese foodie places? Howie: which events are you going to and how many postcards do you need? George: which groups would be interested in getting postcards? 4. Media: TV, radio, internet, magazines, newspapers. Mike: any contacts/ideas on media would be awesome! Tommy: I need a person who is willing to be the organizer of the early press access. Could you be our lead for that? We would invite media to access the festival early. Howie: I think we can do internet marketing better. Question is: how? Also, is there any ideas on video that we could do? Hmmm.... Where we are right now: Aya - postcard design, hunting down Benihana or Nobu, Suntory, then media sponsorships; e-mail design Hisashi - follow-up with Pacific International Liquor, Hakutsuru Sake, World Sake Imports (http://www.worldsake.com/). Dave - setup meet with Harrah's to talk about gift bags; confirm Viejas; setup meeting with Cal Bank & Trust
George - waiting for postcards! First marketing kick-off meeting: Wednesday, May 28, 2008 - 6pm at the new Japan Society Office 4883 Ronson Court, Suite K, San Diego, CA 92111. Domo arigato! We're on our way to making this event very awesome! Aya.

May 14, 2008 - Email Message - Aya. Hi. I am probably not going to need flyers this year but plan to do a lot more online. Akiko and I produced a few videos and the House of India videos in particular received really good reviews. Check it out.
http://sandiegocaliforniaevents.com/san-diego-california-events-videos.htm
I could make a promotional video for the festival using photos from the Japan Society site with your permission. The video would be uploaded to YouTube which you could then embed in the Japan Society site or wherever you want. Need to know the number of tickets required for a sell out and the demographics. Tell me what type of crowd you want this year. That should do it for now. Anyone involved in planning the festival this year is welcome to contact me anytime. Talk to you soon. Until then. Howie.

May 16, 2008 - Email Message - Akiko. Hi. I want you to ask Gloria about the following, concerning your benefits package. 1. The main benefits: * We are not interested in Kaiser. * It seems like there are only two choices for Blue Shield, the HMO and the PPO. For the HMO, there is only one choice, but for the PPO, three categories are listed. The question is, if we pick the PPO, can we use any of those choices. In other words, can we go to our own physician, who may not be a preferred provider, or can we also choose to go to someone who is a preferred provider in the PPO plan. 2. Preexisting conditions, this was a bit difficult to understand. * Find out if preexisting means: a. a condition existed up to 6 months before the benefits took effect which you are unaware of or, b. a condition existed up to 6 months before the benefits took effect which you were checked for, and are aware of. 3. Life Insurance. * It seems like you need to sign the form if you decline this coverage. It does seem there is a group insurance plan, which is already a checked item on the form. Find out more about this. If you are covered already in a company plan, make sure the beneficiary form is filled out. 4. Disability. * There was a lot of paperwork on this topic. It seems like Aflac is providing this coverage. Find out if there is already disability coverage provided through California. I am going to be online the entire day if you need to ask me any questions. See you tonight. Howie. (to work) Howie.

May 16, 2008 - Email Message - Hi. We can go PPO Plan. Preexisting is no problem. And life insurance and Disability is no problem too. Government is covered. But still we need a few information until next Monday. 1>Your friend name and his provider number. Name of primary care physician: Provider number: If you can ask today, it would be good. 2> we need pick dental. This is we can do together. 3>401K plan, we need change few things. If we pick “retirement goal”, we need 100% for this. We can do together this too. Anyway, Thank you do this for me. I love you. Akiko. (from work) Akiko.

May 16, 2008 - Email Message - Hi. The name is Edward Brantz. The telephone number is 858-273-6021. I would prefer the company calls directly to get the information, this way there would be no mistakes. They know exactly what to ask for. Please ask them to do this for you. Pretty sure we already picked the dental. It was the plan which covers everything and no need to pay based on the amount you spend. It sounds like the 401K can be decided on Monday. I made BBQ dinner for tonight. Terriyaki chicken and already marinating. Drink wine of course. Working outside on the patio now. Really nice but getting warm. Everything ready for fishing this weekend. Anyway, Gonna stay online. I want you to send email again when everything is done for today. I love you. Talk again. (to work) Howie.

May 16, 2008 - Email Message - Hi. It was Ok I changed from PPO to HMO?? (from work) Akiko.

May 16, 2008 - Email Message - Yup, everything is good. Send email if no problem to go offline. Thanks.

May 16, 2008 - Email Message - Ayumi. Hi. I am getting very involved in politics this year. You should do this stuff with me. Good way to get contacts and when you graduate, you can get a nice job. You know that you should listen to my advice anytime. Check out this page. These are supposedly “educated” students from UCSD. Freaking republicans. Look what they promote. This should really piss you off.
http://gop.ucsd.edu/contacts.html
Anyway, this Monday will be the only free day for me for the next two weeks unless you meet for fishing this weekend or at an event. Can meet for walking and lunch. Gonna need a favor from you beginning next Tuesday and can talk more about it when we meet. It is related to politics. Anyway, send email when you can. Howie.

May 16, 2008 - Email Message - Hi everyone. This summer is already looking to be pretty busy. This is what’s coming up. Akiko and I plan to be at these events. 5/17/08 – Fishing at the OB pier this weekend. Gonna be freaking hot. Get away from the scalding temperatures and enjoy a day of fishing. We will be in our usual spot, in front of the cafe on the pier, catching tons of fish. Look for us with our stupid hats from walmart. We might go on Sunday too. 5/25/08 – The 26th Annual Ethnic Food Fair in Balboa Park. Food from all over the world and pretty cheap too. About 5 bucks for a plate. There is also entertainment. About 10,000 people expected. Come early. Check the link for more info.
http://sandiegocaliforniaevents.com/events-may-25.htm
6/1/08 – Cultural Entertainment in the Park Israel. This is one of the countries represented at the lawn programs in the back of Balboa Park. Check the link for more info.
http://sandiegocaliforniaevents.com/events-june-1.htm
7/16/08 – Yup, we were placed on the marketing committee again this year for the Japan Society Beer and Sake festival. The event is from 6-9 pm at the W Hotel Downtown. They rented all three floors. We went every year and no doubt this will be the best ever. More info.

Anyway, you, family, friends, everyone is welcome to join us for these events. See you there. Howie.

May 17, 2008 - Email Message - Hi, Howie. Those all sound like fun events. This weekend I am swamped with paperwork. I will mention to Linda about next Sunday at Balboa Park. That sounds like a nice family event. I am going to call the agent again about those two properties. Sorry about not following up on that. She never called back. typical REO agent - they are pretty busy right now, but I called her T.C. who should have called back. If you want to look at any properties, we could go tomorrow morning. Jim.

Bring your lunch or you can go out and get a sandwich or something. Really trying to lose weight. Anyway, cool finally get to see you again. Until then. Howie.

May 18, 2008 - Email Message - Jim. Hi. Actually we needed to make our run to the Japanese stores today and could not go to see the properties. You seem really busy and I do not want to take your time until we know the property listings are still active. I was busy like you several years ago with my appraisal company. I was literally putting in 16 hour days the entire week. I know it must be difficult for you to find time to show many listings to different clients. Anyway, let me know about those properties when you get a call back from the agent. Please let me know of any cheap SFR’s which go on the market in 92119, 92120, 91941, 91942, 92071 areas. Thanks. Akiko and I definitely plan to go to the food fair next weekend. Hopefully you guys can make it. Talk to you again. Howie.

May 18, 2008 - Email Message - Khris. Hi. I received your email and decided to try out your kits again. I added a voter opinion poll to my San Diego site.
http://sandiegocaliforniaevents.com/election.htm
I plan to do much more next month but ran into a problem. I was going to add a poll to my English site but nothing showed up. I went to the JS-Kit settings page and when I tried to restore access to the English site, it deleted the voting results on the San Diego site poll even though the poll was still there. Then I restored access to the San Diego site from the settings page and the poll results came back again. Please tell me what needs to be done in order to put kits on both sites with no problem.

Thanks. Howie.

May 22, 2008 - Email Message - Jim. Hi. I really want to thank you for taking the time to vote for my video and forwarding to your friends. We are doing good but freaking busy. Akiko is past the 90 day thing at the company and we can use the benefits next month. I was placed on the Japan Society committee for the upcoming festival. Then of course there is the video contest. Doing crazy promotion for this. Sending out 1200 email per day, the ATT limit, even to international schools and agencies. Getting incredible support from the international community. Many of these companies post jobs on a regular basis and are happy to do this for me since the job boards are free. Anyway, gonna be sending email tonight about the food fair. Thank you again. Howie.

May 22, 2008 - Email Message - Ayumi. Hi. I wanna thank you for voting. Many of my friends sent email to their friends asking them to vote. Even Akiko sent email to friends in Japan. Anyway, definitely going to the food fair. Maybe many friends going. Sending email tonight with details about meeting. Talk to you again. Howie.
