Hey
Friends
I decided to try and complete a couple of projects that I wanted to
do for years. The first is to sort through and keep or delete all of the old information from my
computer files. The second is to go through old pictures (the kind on film), and
match them up with dates from information contained in these files. I was going
to delete a lot of these files, such as emails, receipts, taxes, and checking account
information, but then I realized this information would be invaluable for dating
the pictures. In addition, my kids said they are really interested in my stories
and other stuff from back in the day. Anyway, it was simply easier to put all of
this information in one place, this blog, and then sort it all out after. The
information is pretty boring for those of you who
found this page....please read or ignore at your discretion. |

Hi, Howiee, It's me, Aina. How have you been doing?? I know you are enjoying
your life in Japan now;) It's been a while since you went to Japan, right??
Anything new?? Share your life story with me;-) I always want to hear your
interesting story. I was thinking about going back to Japan this winter, but I
guess I'm just gonna stay in US and study for Rea Estate. You know, I still
wanna be a R.E. Appraiser.
Now, I have a question. Do you think I should get a real estate licence, which
is a licence for selling the houses? I have a couple of friends who are taking
the licence and they told me it's good to have it. That way, I'll be able to
work for Real Estate agency after graduate from SDSU. Yet, my concern is, "is it
worth to spend whole winter and semester for the Real Estate Licence?" Because
as you know, I wanna be an appraiser, not a R.E. sales person. What do you
think? I wonder if I should go to Professional R.E. Appraisal school and start
studying from this winter vacation, in stead of studying for the R.E.Licence.
When did you start to study for appraising? After graduate or when you are in
SDSU??
Sorry that I wrote too much, but I truly appreciate your help. So if you have a
time, could you write me back and give me some advise?
Thank you.
Have a great time in Japan.

Yer gettin married??? @o@
Boy, that was quck, omedetou!
Anyways, you missed quite a firestorm this last week, we had to evacuate jikka
and everything!
The area between Descansoe and Alpine is nothing but charred wasteland. I heard
mission trails got some of it too, but I haven't had the time to go down there
and check it out.
Well, I gotta get my shukudai on, so I'll talk to ya later
Chris
Hi Howie-
Rob Schafer from SDSU forwarded your email address to me. I
am considering going through the TEFL program in March and
teaching in either Japan or Poland starting May of next
year. I wondered if you had a moment if you could share
with me how it is going for you in Japan and how the
process of moving and getting started was for you. I have
a few questions, however anything you could share would be
greatly appreciated.
What part of Japan are you in? Did you choose this part or
were you placed?
How was getting settled and moving?
What age do you teach and at which school?
Does your school provide you with housing? If yes, does it
provide other living expenses as well?
Do you work every day? What hours?
How helpful was going through the program and in placing
you with a school. Was the timeline for placement quick?
I know that these answers can require some detailed
responses so please take your time. Any information would
be appreciated.
FYI - A little about myself. I am a graphic designer but
looking for a change and a career that will allow me to
contribute to peoples lives as well as travel and
experience different cultures. I have been to Japan on two
separate occassions and enjoy the people and country
tremendously. I am 33 and live in San Diego.
Thank you again Howie!

Hi. I have many things to tell you. I want to talk about the telephone to make
sure that you and I understand each other. You are supposed to be paying for the
telephone from the time that I came to Japan. Make sure that you give that money
to Otosan if you have not already paid for it. I am going to pay the $100 for
the last three long distance calls. You can pay for everything else. You have to
think about a few things. You have been very lucky in the United States. You
have always stayed with families and paid little or no rent and you have not had
to go through the hassle of setting up your own apartment. The first two months
in Japan have been awful because I had to arrange and negotiate many things. The
reason for bringing this up is because recently you have a much different
attitude when we talk. I have wanted to talk to you while I have been in Japan
for support. Quite honestly I am miserable here and want to come home. I look to
you for support anytime but these days you get angry so easily. You really have
changed a lot. All I wanted was some reassurance that you would be there for me.
Even though you continue to do many things for me, there seems to be more
distance between us. It really sucks you know. I really miss talking to you the
way we used to talk. Maybe both of us have a lot of stress these days and it has
affected our relationship. Anyway, while I am typing this email, I got a
telephone call from the school in Tokushima. They really want me to come there.
Anyway, this is the situation for me in Japan. The good things are that Akiko
and I are doing really good. We see each other almost every day and we get along
great. Last week I went to a nabe party in Osaka with Akiko and I met her
friends. It was a lot of fun. The problem with Akiko is her family. The parents
do not want to meet me and they do not want her to go the United States. It
really makes me feel awful.
The other good thing is the apartment. The location is really good and the
apartment is pretty big and is very clean.
The problems in Japan include health issues and mental issues. I have been
having a lot of problems with my back and stomach. Also, the shaking problem has
become much worse probably because of sugar stuff. My back is so messed up that
some days it is difficult to even stand up. I have to ride the bike to work and
last night I have to ride home in the cold and it was dark and raining. These
days the big questions is why a 43 year old successful business person is
dealing with all this bullshit. If I had any sense then I would come back to the
United States and work. I have not been able to use the Internet every day, and
I feel awful and I have had to deal with the very backwards way that Japanese
people do business. These country is not an easy place to live.
In addition, this is the first time that I have had my own apartment. I am
incredibly lonely every day and usually do not want to come home. I absolutely
cannot live alone. I have been very sad and want to come home every day. Kind of
interesting but as it turns out Japan is a much more lonely place for me than
the United States. Anyway, gonna try to hang in there. Probably coming back on
the 27th of this month. I need you to go to LA with me to the Japanese embassy
to apply for a working visa. Also please check about a roundtrip ticket from the
US to Japan and then back to the US again. Is it possible to get a return ticket
back to the US one year later. For example, if I return to Japan in December,
can the return part of the ticket be good for 6 months or 1 year. Please check
this for me. Anyway, looking forward to seeing you again.

Riechan
Hi. This is going to be kind of a long email. This is the latest news. These
days things seem to change kind of quickly.
Money. You probably need to get money from Mikko from now on. I have been making
a lot of money these days and I do not need to exchange with you anymore. After
next week, I should have enough money to pay for my expenses for the next two
month. I do not have a bank account and I have to hide the money in the
apartment. Anyway, hopefully you understand about this.
Visa. I went to the same office again with Okaachan. The process now takes about
two more weeks. It was possible to get my passport stamped as an application
stamp which allows me to do overstay while the application is being processed.
In two weeks I should receive a postcard and if everything is okay then I have
to go back to the same office again and pay about forty dollars and get my
passport stamped again as a working visa. The problem is that the office is
going to probably check with the United States government now. If they find out
about my problem then the application will be denied and I have to come home.
Otherwise, if everything is okay, then I can get a one year working visa. The
return ticket that I have is also about two weeks away. Hopefully the visa
information comes before the ticket date. I need you to check email as often as
possible beginning the 26th of this month. A few times a day would be best. The
reason is that if for some reason the application is denied then I might have to
extend the return ticket. Another option is to just stay in Japan. If the
application is denied, this is my thinking. After one year, I have no intention
to live in Japan anymore. I am already set up with a good job and a nice
apartment. If I go back in two weeks then it’s all a waste of time. If they find
out then I come home. If not, then I can stay and make some money. If I cannot
come back to Japan for five years then that’s okay. You know I can probably find
a way around that rule though.
Akiko. Everything is going okay with her except for her family. The parents do
note want to meet me at all because I am American and because of my age. These
days we do not see each other every day because I want her to spend time with
her family. If she comes to my apartment every day then they worry more because
they do not know me at all. I told her that I think meeting her parents is the
best way so then they can know me and not worry so much. She is not very strong
about decisions and I think if I go back to the United States then she might not
come with. I have tried to be a bit more distant with her recently so if things
don’t work out then I can be prepared. You are kind of a problem too. These days
it seems that I miss you more and more. The feeling I have for you makes it more
difficult to commit to someone else. Even though you don’t want to be together,
it does not change the fact that you are important to me. Anyway, I have to try
to deal with all of this.
Your family. There are a few things that you may or may not want to know as far
as problems. If you want to know then you can tell me. If you do not want to
know then we do not have to talk about it at all.
Job. These days have been very busy for me because of work. I have to work four
days a week now. I decided to not work one of the original five days because I
was getting really tired. I decided to quit working at Kansai Juku. The last day
is going to be on the 25th of the this month. Beginning next month, I have my
own pronunciation classes at Nichibei. After many arguments with the owner,
things are going the way I want them to at least with that school. The fact is I
really do not have to work. If things are really awful in Japan that I could
come back home. I really want to try though. The other day I was riding home
from work at night. It was cold and raining. The thought I had was why is a 43
year old, successful business person dealing with this bullshit. This has been a
real challenge these days. If I told you everything that I have been dealing
with the last few months, you would probably be surprised.
Problem. I have really not been feeling good both physically and mentally. My
stomach and back continue to be messed up. The stomach problem might need
attention within the next year. I think that I know what the problem is. If it
gets worse then I would have to come back home. My back problem is the result of
many factors including sleeping on the floor and bicycle riding. Also, these
days it has become obvious that I cannot live alone. Not everyone can be like
you. These days Okaachan and I have been spending time together even though I
have moved out. We went to the immigration office together and then out for
coffee. We often eat at the Yokahama kissaten together. I gave a present to the
master and to her of candy because they are so nice anytime. Anyway, I often
talk with her about many things and one of the topics is living alone and
relationship type conversation. The worst thing for me is in the morning when I
get up and no one is in the apartment. I have to eat breakfast alone and I
usually eat very quickly and try to leave the apartment as soon as possible.
Anyway, it makes me very sad and depressed. Gonna have to try to deal with this
though.
Anyway, say hi to Dad and keep on doing a good job at your work. Gonna send you
more translation stuff soon. Talk to you soon then.

Hi again. I have to get ready for my next classes. Talk to you soon then. Let me
know if you are still interested in writing a book with me. The books being used
in Japan for teaching English in Japan are very popular and they suck. There is
no doubt that you and I could do much better. The dealis very simple. I write
the book and you draw the pictures. I get 50% of the money and you get 50% of
the money. Pretty simple yeah. I plan to completely change the site soon and use
it to sell the book if you are interested. It could work out very well for both
of us. We should put our talents together and make some good money. I have
become very famous in this area for my pronunciation and speaking classes.
Kansai Juku is pretty much begging for me to stay at the school. Nichibei is
allowing me to design my own classes. I am going to be making up to about $400
per day teaching classes of adults of up to ten students. Pretty good huh.
Beginning next week I am planning to advertise for my own students at the
apartment. I have a bedroom and another larger room that is perfect for a
classroom. The beginning of my next business. I really think you could be an
excellent English teacher. I keep giving you opportunities to go into business
with me but you have to decide on your own. I cannot push you. I can only tell
you that it would be a pleasure to work with you in business. We could be very
successful together. Think about it and let me know okay. About Akiko and her
family. Her English is not great but we can communicate in Japanese. It really
is because I am American and my age. They know that she wants to live in another
country but knowing this and actually experiencing the reality of this is quite
different. Now that she is with someone who is not Japanese, they are beginning
to worry. Anyway, more about this later then. I really want you to think about
everything. We really are a good team you know. Talk to you soon then.

Hi. Thanks for the email. These days are very busy. I am working two jobs until
the end of this month. From next month, I am only working at one school and I
should have a lot of free time. I cannot meet this Sunday though. Thanks for the
invitation. I think we can meet more often beginning next month. Talk to you
soon then.

Hi. I was busy with Kansai Juku when you called and could not answer the
telephone. Anyway, I filled out another application at the immigration office.
They stamped the passport as an application which permits overstay on the
tourist visa. In two weeks they are going to send a not indicating if the
working visa was approved. At that time the cost is about 40 dollars and the
passport would be stamped as a working visa. Talk to you next Thursday.

I am ok, nothing change. I don’t think I am change but sometime I feel I am
older than before because I get cold and be tired easily.
Anyway I am ok. I have strong mental power.
School is fun, not easy though. When we had the fire, I didn’t have school. It
was lucky but I was so bored.
Yes, the day that I go back to Japan is coming soon.
I am thinking so many things what I am going to do in Japan.
I have to be careful to not put on weight while I am staying Japan.
How’s Riechan? I haven’t made contact with her.
By the way did you engage? Are you getting marriage? Congratulation!
I am happy about that news.
I think your girl friend is nice person that why you chose the person.

Hi. I have some time before my next class. Gonna try to tell you some of the
news. I decided to quit Kansai Juku as you know. I am helping them find a new
English teacher. I placed an ad in the Internet and I made some flyers. Finally
getting some teachers who might be interested in the job. None of them seem
really great though. Anyway, some of my students know that I am leaving soon and
have asked me to teach them privately. I am going to have no problem at all
making my own school in Japan. The students have told me that I am very
different than all the other English teachers in Japan and they want me to
continue teaching them. I am going to bemaking tons of money. I have to go to
some of their houses and the other students are going to come to my apartment.
Pretty cool yeah. The big problems these days have to do with the fact that
Akiko and I have a problem because of her family. The big problem is that I am
still very lonely in many ways and I am not feeling good. I have been going to
your house a lot because the customers want to learn English and of course, I
teach them for free. I bought some books for them at the hyakin the other day.
It really is a lot of fun. I usually do not want to go home because of being
alone. Gonna have to deal with this though. Anyway, gonna try to hang in there
for at least a year. If things go okay in Japan then I might try to stay a
little longer than expected. Otherwise, I am planning to come home and work on
the internet site, my English book and the book we are going to make together if
you are still interested. I really want to know if you are interested in doing
this with me okay. Talk to you soon then.

Hi. I have many things to tell you as usual.
Insurance. This is probably a waste of money but send more information about the
coverage anyway.
Domain name. Tell me which company sent the notice. Probably many companies can
find out that the name is going to expire soon. After you send the information,
then I can tell you what you should do.
Bank accounts. I need you to look at the most recent bank statements for the
savings account and the checking account. I want you to tell me the statement
dates and the total money each account. From now on, send this information every
month.
English language book. I plan to finish the pronunciation book within the next
few months. I am making two versions. One for adults with pictures and the other
one for kids with some type of character. You mentioned something about using a
dinosaur or something. Think about a good character for an English language
pronunciation book.
Us. These days have been quite an adjustment period. You would probably be
amazed at the amount of bullshit that I have dealt with during the past few
months. These days things are getting better but now I have more time to think.
I realize these days how important you really are to me. The feelings that I
have for you might make it impossible for me to actually marry Akiko. Even
Okaachan noticed that I talk about you all the time. She said that she thinks
you like me very much but you are not ready to get married. I really don’t know
about your thinking but I do know that you like me a lot. Anyway, if I cannot
get married to Akiko and I wait for you and we do not get married there is
nothing I can do about it. The fact is, you and I are very good together and I
do not think that is going to change. Think about it.
Akiko. You were right as usual. The reason her family does not want to meet me
is not because of American or age, it is because of work. Her family cannot
understand about self employment or working more than one job. They think that a
successful and stable person is someone who works the same hours every day and
stays with one company for many years. Typical Japanese thinking. Anyway, we are
doing okay but not seeing each other as much. Her family wants her to come home
early anytime. Kind of like dating a high school student. Really not sure if I
can deal with this situation for a long time.
Work. I am working until the 25th of this month at Kansai Juku and then I quit
working there. I recently told some of my adult students that I was leaving and
one of the girls almost was crying. The adult students have told me that I am
very unusual for an English teacher in Japan and they want me to continue to
teach them privately. Finding my own students is not a problem at all. In fact,
if things work out then I could easily make a regular school within the next few
months. Miochan is going to miss out on a really good opportunity. I asked her
to do this with me but she never gave me a definite answer. I plan to do this on
my own until I can find someone interested in working for me. I decided I do not
want a business partner. Akiko would probably like to work with me but her
English is not good enough so there is no plan for her to work with me in the
business. I am going to be designing my own curriculum at Nichibei which is
going to consist of speaking classes with the focus on pronunciation,
reductions, idioms and slang. The class materials are going to be included in
the International EFL Cafe. The site is going to be completely changed within
the next few months and much easier to use, especially for beginners. Anyway, I
posted an ad in the Internet for Kansai Juku and made flyers for them. The
school has known for a few weeks that I was leaving there soon. They cannot
speak English and had no idea how to find a new teacher. Recently I had to do
this for them. Many prospective teachers sent resumes and I have begun to
interview the on the telephone. I talked to one girl from Australia and I could
barely understand her English. She has a really loud voice but is able to speak
pretty good Japanese.
Apartment. This is one of the better things these days. The apartment is located
two buildings from the Sango train station and is on the same side of the
street. Really convenient for making a school or for inviting friends over. I
think I told you that Keikochan and Miochan are coming over on the 27th to meet
Akiko. It should be a lot of fun.
Anyway, gonna type the translations and send them to you in the next email. The
easiest thing to do is copy the translation email into word and translate one
line at a time. This is an example.
Good afternoon.

Hi. Please translate the following sentences. You should paste this inot word
and then put the Japanese translations after the English. Keep the sentences
separate. You can send the English and Japanese together. For example.
Thanks for doing this. You are looking at the beginning of the newest and best
language school in the Nara area, maybe even in Japan. Anyway, talk to you soon
then.
Howie
I don't know your computer can read English and Japanese text mixing, so I send
both email text and attached text in the word. Your example in email couldn't
read. I hope your computer is ok. About translation, you should ask me the
sentenses for the ad or whatever you will try to make for your school because
sometimes it is very difficult to translate English to Japanese. The
translation should be changed depend on the contexts. So you have to make sure
before you finish making the ad or somethings for your schoool. ok?
By the way, I don't have an another information about insurance. All I know is
the information that I already sent to you.
Good afternoon.

Hi. I want to know if you know when you think you are moving back to Japan. I
really want to make some business decisions as soon as possible. I am probably
going to have Internet access from my apartment within a few weeks. It seems
like I can make lots of money in Japan. Gonna continue to do this and work on
the site and write the book. Really want to work with you. Talk to you again
soon then.

Hi. I have about 30 minutes before my next class and I decided to send you a
letter. The nice thing is that no one in this school can speak English which
means that I can type anything that I want with everyone watching and they have
no idea what I am writing. Anyway, I am really happy if you can get that new
job. It would be nice if you can work normal hours without all the bullshit. You
really deserve to have a nice job for awhile. If you want me to do anything or
write anything, please let me know. I am hoping that my visa stuff is going to
be okay and that I can stay in Japan legally. If there is a problem I decided to
overstay on the visa anyways until I get caught. The problem in California might
follow me to Japan in which case the working visa would not be issued. It could
take awhile to repair the problem so overstay is the best plan now. If I return
to America, there is no guarantee that I could return to Japan quickly. I want
to make at least enough money to cover all the costs of moving to Japan
including the cost of the suitcases, the computers and stuff like that. After
that, I have no plan to return to Japan anytime soon. This is my one chance to
really stay in another country and experience what you have experienced for the
past few years. You probably can understand about this thinking. Probably the
visa stuff is going to be okay but you know that I have to be prepared for the
possibility that I cannot stay in Japan. Anyway, if things do not work out here
then you and I can make a business in America and then I can support your visa.
Then we can work on the book together and make a shitload of money. Pretty good
plan yeah. Anyway, gonna send more email next week. You know, I really want
Internet access at the apartment. It would make things a lot easier. Anyway,
talk to you then.

Hi. I think this might be a good objective for the front desk job. You can
change the job title if you want. I thought the job tile might be front desk
receptionist.
Objective
Obtain a position in San Diego as a front desk receptionist.
Enjoy working with and communicating with people.
Able to speak Japanese, English and very basic Spanish.
Available to begin work anytime.
Kind of not sure exactly what you wanted.
Anyway, I told you that I was going to quit the Kansai Juku job. It seems like
if I quit, many of the students are going to quit the school. The manager has
asked me to stay and teach with the new teacher. The new teacher is from
Australia and I interviewed her on the telephone because the manager cannot
speak English. The teacher is a girl and her Japanese is pretty good. I could
barely understand her English though. Anyway, even though it is expensive to pay
two teachers, the school has asked me to kind of check her out. I put an ad on
the Internet and made flyers for the school. They received many inquiries about
the job which made the manager very happy. I am also doing phone interviews and
checking out the prospective teachers if the school wants. This is all for free.
I have been spending a lot of time with Okaachan these days. She is learning how
to make zori, a Japanese shoe, using rope. She is trying to teach me but it is
kind of difficult. We went out for Ramen the other day and after she took me on
a tour of the love hotel in Kamakura or some place like that. It was pretty
interesting. Anyway, she is going to some kind of Phychologist because of the
pachinko problem. Making zori and talking with me is kind of occupying her time
so maybe she is not going to pachinko as much these days. Also, the customers at
your restaurant really want to learn English. I went to the hyakin again on my
bike and bought about 16 books and a small book shelf for the customers. I try
to go to your restaurant a few times a week and meet with the customers. Of
course, I teach them for free.
I have been losing weight these days because of so much bike riding. I continue
to eat a lot though. Akiko showed me this pan gratin thing that you can make
with bread. You cut and toast the bread and then warm up the sauce and our it on
the bread. It is so easy and it tastes really good.
The new table that I bought is really nice and the bookshelves also. I went to
Konan with Okaachan to get them. I saw Nobumitusan there with his daughter. Kind
of weird but she was not friendly at all. Anyway, Okaachan got to meet them but
she was kind of embarrassed because it was early and she said she was kind of
messy. Anyway, she had this idea of getting two shelves and putting them
together. It worked out really good. After I get Internet access at my place
then I can send you pictures.
This Thursday, Keikochan, Miochan and Akiko are going to meet for the first
time. It should be a lot of fun. It is the first party at my place. They are not
coming until about 8:00 pm so maybe I can work half the day.
For some reason my apartment really stinks. Maybe because of onara. Anyway,
gonna really clean before the party.
Say hi to Dad okay. Talk to you again.
Howie
Miochan
Hi. Hey, I was wondering if you or Keikochan could bring some Japanese music CDs
on Thursday. I can use my computer to copy them. Also, if you have any DVD
movies, please bring them also. After I make copies, I can give them back to you
the next time we meet. I really like Every Little Thing, Utada Hikaru and many
other groups. If you could do this, I would really appreciate it. I have to tell
you my address but not sure now. The name of the building is Skyscraper and the
verandas or balconies of the building are green. The building is the second
building from the Sango train station and it is on the same side of the street.
Very easy to find. Call me if you have any questions. Talk to you soon then.

Saeko
Hi. I get to use the Internet at my work today. Anyway, I wanted to see you very
much. I told Riechan, her family and my friends in Hatakeda that you were
coming. Because you were traveling with your friend, I assumed you were going to
be pretty busy with her. Everyone was expecting you to come on Sunday night and
we were going to have a party there. If I really did not want to see you then I
would not have planned for you to come on Sunday night. Anyway, hopefully you
can understand about this. Maybe you and I can meet another time. Until then.
Howie
Saeko
Hi. I get to use the Internet at work today. Anyway, I want to thank you for
sending email and being concerned about my friends and family. My house and
everyone are okay. If you have time, maybe we can meet again. Until then.
Howie
Nobumitsusan
Hi. It was nice to see you again at the home center. I am hoping to go to the
Japanese class in two weeks if I do not have to work. Until then.
Howie
Rob
Hi. I have many things to tell you about my work situation. I do not have
Internet at my place. I have to use the computer at work so kinda difficult to
send long email. Anyway, I am working at two schools and I am in the process of
getting my own students. Gonna send you more information soon. Until then.
Howie

Hi. Give me a call after 9:00pm any night when you have the time. Until then.

Dear Howie chan
Thank you for making nice objective for me. I haven't decided to apply for the
front desk position yet though. I think I will try later anyway. Do you think I
have to make a cover letter, too?
Still I like my tour guiding job even though my schedule is going to mess.
If I cannot find a job in the US, I have to go back to Japan around Sep or Oct.
Around that time
are you still planning to stay in Japan? If you are not there when I come back
to Japan,
how am I going to do working with you, right? I just wonder.
Do you want to work with me really?
I have a question that do you want to make your own language school in Japan?
It is surprising thing that the employees at your language school cannot speak
English?!
Is that be true? How can they communicate with their teachers?
You were talking about the white source on the French bread meal. I didn't make
it,
my good cook friend made it. Didn't you remember!? but anyway it was yummy.
Akiko is good cook huh. oh, I invited my French friend couple for dinner on next
Wed.
They are going back to France. Before they go back, the wife who is my friend
wants to try
Japanese meal.
Your party on 27th sounds good, too. I don't know Keiko chan can cook though.
That's scary!
I know Mio chan can cook well.
Oh, I forgot to tell you that it is my idea that why don't you use coloring text
book for
kids students if you will have kids kids students.
I can make for them if you want. You can use that English coloring book for the
homework or
some activities. It's going to be very easy coloring book like A is for Apple. B
is for bee.
Another activities book is that who am I stuff. I draw things like animal,
flower, fruit etc with dots
then, kids make a picture following the dots, then they will know what that is,
then they
learn the name of things in English.
These days I really feel that I want to work for many things and want to be
successful.
I mean that it is not making tons of money, but I want to work with good
situation.
As you know that is very difficult in the reality always.
I realize that I really like working anytime. Also I like studying. I feel that
I have so many things
to learn still. I am very frustrated that I cannot stay here for studying
because of no money.
but on the other hand, I want to have work experience as soon as possible, too.
I am too ambitious sometime. I cannot do anything about this part of my
personality.
ok, I will review Spanish a little and then go to bed.
talk to soon
say hi to okaachan
Rie
Could you please write a cover letter for me. It can be very general or if you
can, you can write two kinds which one for the travel agent or one for the
hotel. How's your job? Is every thing ok?
Hello はういさん。 Thank you for the email.
I `m sure to take some CDs. I have Utada Hikaru`s one!
Thank you for showing your apartment. Keikosan said she`ll call you
because she can join you earlier than me so she needs to know your place
to reach herself fast. And then she`ll pick me up at the Oji station.
Keikosan might call you soon before 27th.
Though we decided ourselves like that, is this okay for you and Akikochan?
さむくなってきたので、かぜひかないようにきをつけてくださいね。

Dear Riechan
Hi. I want to work with you a lot. Anyway, lots of new work opportunities. Gonna
be making lots of money. We can work together anytime. Gonna send your cover
letters and a longer email on Saturday. Talk to you then.
Love
Howie
Miochan
Hi. It would be easier for you to come directly to the Sango Station. I can walk
there and meet you. It would be much easier. If Keikochan picks you up at Oji it
is kind of difficult. Please call me any night after 9:00 if you have any
questions. Talk to you soon then.
Howie
Riechan
Hi I plan to send you more email today. Talk to you then.
Howie
Riechan
Hi. I really enjoyed reading the email you sent. Now the other teacher Is
teaching the class. Kind of hanging out and writing this email to you. Gonna
make your cover letter and send It to you on Saturday. This stupid computer at
the school makes a capital I every time and It takes too long to change them.
Anyway, Saturday Is my last day at Kansai Juku. Beginning next month, I am
teaching some regular classes at Nichibei and the new pronunciation class will
begin. Tonight I am meeting one of the customers at your house who has a coffee
shop. The owner wants me to teach at the restaurant. Pretty soon I am going to
get my own students. Last night I went to Namba with Akiko and met one of her
coworkers and the coworkers friend. It was a lot of fun. I ate at some cool
noodle shop. These days have been very busy. I go shopping a lot on my own. On
Sunday, I went to Konan and then to a bookstore near Jusco and then to the
Hyakin near Jusco and then to Konan and then to the combini near the apartment
and then bike riding to close to the top of a mountain and then home and then to
yaohiko and then to your house for dinner and then home. I was really tired.
Anyway, yes I want to work with you. I really think we are a great team. You
really cannot tell the future. We could even get married. I am already on the
road to making my own school. The pronunciation materials and other stuff that I
have been teaching have become very popular. I am becoming quite famous. Making
money In Japan Is really easy. It Is true that the teachers cannot speak much
English, even the English teachers. That Is the reason that I had to work with
them to find another teacher. I am really looking forward to Thursday. This Is a
chance for my friends to meet Akiko. These days I have been meeting many of her
friends and now my friends get to check her out. Your Idea for the coloring book
Is very good. I think we can make a lot of money together. Anyway, I have a
problem with the hyakin. It seems that I go shopping at the hyakin more than I
need to. Kind of like a gambling problem. Anyway, after Saturday, It might be a
problem to use the Internet. Pretty soon I should have the Intenet at my
apartment but kind of not sure. Gonna try to send more email today but this Is
probably all for today. Anyway, talk to you soon then.
