THE
DECADE 1960 - 1969
These are just a few of the significant events of this
decade: Yuri Gagarin-1st man in space; Bay of Pigs invasion;
building of the Berlin Wall; U.S. naval blockade and the
Cuban missile crisis; the assasination of President John
Kennedy; the Beatles invade America; Israeli victory in the
6 Day War; the assasination of Robert Kennedy; MAN ON THE
MOON; Kent State riots; FLQ/October crisis and the War
Measures Act -- while the Rose Family grew!
The following genealogical information was obtained from the book given to
attendees at the Rose Family Club 50th Anniversary Gala, which was held on
September 3, 1995 in Toronto, Canada. This is an ongoing project for me and I am
hoping to connect with as many family members as possible to make the Rose
genealogical timeline even more complete. Please feel free to contact me at the following: |
